This is the top rated stick blender on Choice and generally retails around the $250-$299 mark (Appliances Online, Amazon and Breville direct). It gets good professional reviews, but be aware some user reviews complain about the plastic parts breaking over time.
I too have a very similar model which has been OK, except the wires on the whisk broke and Breville doesn't stock replacement ones.

What do you all use it for?
Whipping cream, blending soups, Pulverising biscuits for tarts and slices, chopping nuts.
Soups, smoothies, shakes, small batch things I don't want to break out the big food processor for etc.
I've had the older model which had almost identical design for 15 years and it has never skipped a beat. Biggest difference is a simpler food processor attachment on the old one.
