Not the lowest price it’s ever been, but hey it’s EOFY and this is one seriously great mouse!

I’ve actually bought two of these. Not because it broke (this thing is built like a tank), but because I wasn’t brave enough to take the first one apart to clean it. I stared at it like a bomb squad tech for a week before admitting defeat and just buying a new one.

It’s comfortable, connects to multiple devices like a boss, and the battery life lasts longer than some MAFS (probably not a great example). If you need a dependable, no-fuss mouse that works like a charm this one’s a winner.

  • Awesome mouse. Family member and I both bought one when they had them for $29. Unfortunately both started getting intermittent click issues at around the year mark. Our experiences may differ from others though. Overall a great mouse if you don't have to worry about using it on glossy surfaces etc. Also great for multi device switching as the switch button is on the left of the mouse not underneath as with most of these mice. Using a Logitech MX Anywhere 3s at the moment but tempted to try this again. It's a better feel in the hand too for long term use.

I’ve actually been using the M720 daily since 2017, so I’m kind of the opposite of you I’ve put this thing through its paces! Light gaming (non-FPS), plenty of daily use, and a few accidental drops over the years… and it still held up like a champ.

It wasn’t until early 2024 that I started having issues specifically with the left click not registering properly. I’d click and drag, and it would suddenly let go mid-drag even though I was still holding the button. Did a bit of digging and turns out it’s often just dirt buildup. Some folks recommended opening it up and hitting the switch with a bit of WD-40, but I haven’t been game enough to try that just yet.

All that said, I still think the M720 is 100% worth the money. If you're working from home, the ability to switch between devices with a single button is a total game changer!

      • Thanks. Maybe it was just a bad batch lol. You've given me confidence to try again :)

    • I am using one at work now. It's decent but I wouldn't call it awesome.

  • pretty sure it was cheaper

    • Not for a long time. They went as cheap as $20 but they earned a really good reputation so they dont loss lead on them anymore.
Ive used one from that original 2017 as daily driver at work all that time and the thing is still solid.

Absolute garbage mouse. The cursor has slight lag with dongle and Bluetooth. The scrollwheel is trash. The stupid free spin thing means that even when the free spin is disabled the scroll wheel is too loose. I honestly have no idea how people can recommend this piece of shit.

    • easy, read above :)

    • When the free spin clicker ratchet is engaged it is a pretty solid click? Free spin being easy to spin with a light touch is the whole point of it.
Its not a premium gaming mouse ultralow lag and I dont think anyone would expect that. Must have excellent reflexes to even notice.

Nope. Slightest bump causes it to click back and forward up and down on the scroll even with free spin disabled.

I don't expect gaming level performance. But I do expect it to not act like I'm using a VNC connection.

        • Im using one now and cant see either of those issues.

    • with years of experience using this mouse at work, it sometimes really had issue with Bluetooth interference when working in office saying 20-30+ people around.
Then I need to use the dongle to avoid that. To use the dongle you need to install the Logitech app on your computer which I don't really like.

Other than that, never has issue when using it off site to client or working from home.

  • I've used these for years, they're great. Make sure to install Logi Options + and set custom gestures , per app or global…

  • Interesting diverse opinions.

I've got two MX Masters for work and home, and one of these for mobile use (I like to study in the library, and travel a lot).

Maybe there's QC issues? But I've had mine for almost 4 years now and it works an absolute charm. I used it to study my Masters and keep up with work while travelling for 3 weeks recently, and didn't miss my MX Masters too much. What I missed more was having big screens (did all my computing on a Steam Deck and a portable monitor.

  • I've been using one of these for a few years since one of the great deals. Easy recommend for the right price.

  • Can anyone comment on how it feels vs MX Master? I couldn't stand my MX Master 3S as the feet on them were so rough and the weight/shape just wasn't for my hands.
Weird choice, but I went over to a G502 X and felt way better.

  • I have had multiple MX Masters and have always enjoyed them. But they're very large and not very portable.

I switched to the triathlon a few years back and have never felt the desire to go back to my mx. This offers such portability without sacrificing most of the functions you need. I swear by this mouse and am legit tempted to buy another one just to have as spare in case my current one dies.

Everyone will have their preferences, but I've found this to have been a solid mouse without much compromise. If mine dies, I would 100% buy it again. Hope this helps.

  • The only bad thing about this is that the rubber around the thumb rest is really tempting to pick at.

    • That's your problem, not the mouse's problem XD

  • True, very nice mouse, it is the Logitech office mouse I've used for more than 15+ years.
(Had a previous model with the same design of M720's sharp, forgot the model number same from Logitech)
The 1st good thing to mention is comfort half-palm mouse and 2nd is the side button position design are great.
The winner is the easy device/computer switching (up to 3) which I really can't find something like this in the market and very practical when I was using 2 laptop and a phone/tablet.
Recommended, if you looking for a mouse like this but it is not the cheapest as mentioned in the post.
I always keep a spare one when it hit the lowest price.

  • Had one for just over a year until the scroll wheel got very stiff. Unlike the OP, I took it apart and cleaned it but it made no difference. Replaced it with an MX Master 3S which has been great.

    • Did you throw out the M720? Even if it's outside warranty, Logitech will send you a replacement if you mention it's an ACL claim. They ask for a few photos of the mouse and a receipt. All contact via email.

Have 2x of these doing travel duty while I use the MX Master 2 for desk duty.
Has survived being dropped from the second storey stairs onto bitumen twice without any failure of function. Can recommend due to my clumsiness with putting mice on top of my smooth work laptop and this mouse just handles it no worries.

  • My favourite mouse. Got one for $36 about six years ago and it only died a few months ago. Pretty pleased to get a new one. Should really buy two.

(The device swapping buttons are my favourite feature.)
