I've been tracking the price of these for some time and saw the limited deal posted today, so pulled the trigger.
Great for desktop PC authentication via Windows Hello if you don't have a supported camera.
These usually go for $90-100+.

Use a different one
I don't know any other bikies though.
Well, don't go near bikies.
I missed not having a fingerprint scanner on my new laptop, so I bought one from AliExpress for less than $20. I prefer the slimline ones.
Does it work with Windows 11 24H2?
Yes it works including every OS since windows 7.
From Device Manager, can you see who manufacturer/driver maker is?
Also, how good is recognition - better than 90%?
@AlexF: It detects as a "ChipSailing" biometric device and installs the driver automatically. It works reliably, almost all the time unless I have wet hands.
What is better with the slimline btw?
No wires. Just a lump sticking out of your USB port by a few millimetres.
I c thanks man
Do you have to use a finger
Don't go there.
Lenovo also has a $78 FHD Windows Hello camera https://www.lenovo.com/au/en/p/accessories-and-software/webc…?
Are these worth 3x the price of AliExpress generic versions?
I don’t have any experience with AliExpress ones but I do with this one. It works reliably - though in device manager I had to turn off the ability for the device to sleep
Ordered at Officeworks with Price Beat $75.59
What if bikie chop my finger off ?
