  • Interesting. Have had a Slush Puppy for years….

  • Seems overpriced when the Ninja Creami Deluxe also does slushies regularly for under $300

      This one is for professionals.

Massive difference being this one has a compressor, so you don't need to freeze your mix beforehand.

Can it make an all syrup squishy without breaking up?

check the Youtube videos on it.

There's a smaller model, this one has the compressor that actively chills
      https://support.ninjakitchen.com/hc/en-us/sections/145244654…

The common issue is most drinks won't freeze as they use polymer or sugar substitutes which don't chill or freeze at 5'c, so sometimes they need active 'dosing' or something added to help it chill/slush.

"f the sugar content of the input is too low, the unit will detect it and provide an alert. Temperature Control LEDs will flash one at a time in descending order starting with the top LED, preset LEDS will flash, and the unit will beep twice every minute for 15 minutes. Follow all steps below to correct the error.

Check the sugar content in your recipe to ensure it contains at least 4% sugar.
If using a premade beverage, check the ingredient list to ensure the sugar content is at least 4% and ensure the beverage doesn’t include artificial sweeteners. Refer to the Required Sugar Content section for more details.
If a drink does not meet minimum requirements of total sugar, add 1–2 tablespoons flavored syrup, juice, sugar, date sugar, coconut sugar, maple syrup, agave, simple syrup, or honey per serving."

I bought one 2 days ago and received it today
It looks like a quality build and a simple design with 2 moving parts
It can be run with nothing in it
It is relatively quiet and consumes low power
The minimum amount of liquid is 475 ml and maximum just under 2 L
It makes a good slushy out of fruit juice. You don’t need to add sugar as the fruit juice naturally has sugar in it.
It speeds up the slushy making process if the liquid is chilled in the fridge before putting in into the machine
I haven’t tried to make a frappe yet, but I assume that it needs cream instead of sugar to make a frappe
It can be cleaned relatively easy. It has a rinse cycle where it just spins the motor and doesn’t cool the unit so hot water can be added to flush the system.
I first slushy was pretty good and I look forward to making different recipes
It’s definitely a luxury item, but I’m glad I bought it
