These are pretty great downlights and the price is great too.

I like schedule setting the lights to go on and off with certain colours and hues depending on the area. Replaced our front porch lights with these and used a more orange colour to avoid all bugs and mosquitos being attracted to the lights at night.

biggest issue i find with some smart lights, (unsure about these) if you flick them on then off (miss click of the switch) they reset, then you need to go to the app reset them up again… happens enough that its painful, and as much as you think you are going to change the light colours, you wont…

    • Strange. I have 20 smart lights and never experienced what youve mentioned regarding resetting. However most of mine turn on/off via motion sensors.

I do agree with you about the colors though. Most of the time mine are on warm white. I do have them flash red when ever my front gate is opened though.

      • it happens with the mirabella genio (at least with the e27 it does)

my kids always flick the floor lamp switches on and off and put them into reset mode all the time.

one time a power board was causing a trip at the switchboard, tried 3-4 times, found the issue - but in the meantime it had reset my 7 x e27 lamps -_ -

        • Yep same thing here lol.

Would have preferred to just get smart light switches much better, but requires hard wiring

    • These don't reset

  • 50w equivalent and only 40 degree light spread.

    • 350 lm is more like 35 W equivalent

Be warned, there is an issue with the latest release of the Tapo app. It disconnects from Google Home every 24 hours and needs to be manually relinked. The devices will appear offline in Google home but will still be accessible in Tapo app.

I have had to downgrade to a version from a month ago to ensure the connection in not broken

  • Says AU version but shipping from Amazon germany?

    • Its just a bulb.

  • Seems to be a few TPLink items discounted for its Mid Year sale on Amazon

Not very bright, and have poor range too. Otherwise decent when it works.

  • 350 lm is not "high lumen"
