You'll almost certainly be able to pay the difference in store.

  • What is $990?

    • +1

Cancel fee is 50% of remaining monthly cost. For these plans you need to stay 4 months, so 50% of 20 months at $99/mo.

  • How certain are we that the cancellation is just half the cost of the remaining months(after 4 months). I just couldn't see anything that made that clear. I must be missing something? Also wouldn't they ask for the phone back..?

I think they changed the discount amount to be exact $2000, meaning the upfront price is $699 now.

"Customers who sign up to a new Optus $99 SIM only plan in store at Harvey Norman, Domayne or Joyce Mayne during the offer period may purchase a Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold 256GB device with a $2000 discount applied upfront to the cost of the device at point-of-sale."
