Does anyone know whether Airbnb charges any international fees? I need to use $500 on my credit card for the complimentary travel insurance.
AirBnb will not charge any no international / conversion fees however the currency used to charge is based on the local currency of where ever you are booking.
Examples:
Australian properties, no international / conversion fees, your CC will charge you in AUD.
Overseas properties, your credit card will charge you their standard international/conversion fee based on the foreign currency of that property location.

Thank you! I believe it also depends on whether Airbnb processes the payment overseas or in Australia. Even if we pay in AUD, the bank will charge the international fee if the payment is processed offshore. I'm looking for overseas accommodation, so I will probably have to cover the cost for the sake of complementary insurance.
