This is a pretty neat app where you can connect your
Airpods to Windows PC without the hassle of clicking on bluetooth -> click on airpods -> connect
(When you open your airpods, there will be a Pop-up on Windows like on iOS)

It also has many features such as checking your devices' battery, setting noise cancellation, Ear Detection, etc…

I would recommend it to anyone who uses Airpods with Windows.

Here is the website link which explains a lot better than me: https://magicpods.app/

Looks promising, but I think for the really good features you need to install their unsigned driver by disabling secure boot and running windows in test mode?

Back in the day, when everyone danced around the maypole and was jolly…the ability of windows to 'do whatever' was fantastic and allowed for lots of cool stuff.

Today however when everyone is trying to pull a swift one…no way I'd be installing random most likely AI generated garbage code from who knows what.

Yeah I can’t bring myself to do it. No matter how good the features are. It’s probably fine, but not worth it. Until it’s signed it’s a no go for me. Basic app might still be enough. I’ll take a chance for a buck fiddy.

    • I looked into this: Microsoft have refused to give the author access to sign the driver. I can't tell if it's simply because he's Russian, but it doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.

To install the drivers, you either need to disable security (never a good idea) or use the "community signed" driver (which uses a hack to install the driver and will almost certainly get you flagged for cheating in games).

As much as I'd like to have access to these features in Windows (hello, Apple?) I would never recommend trusting unsigned drivers.

I've been using this for years, it's excellent. Never had an issue connecting AirPods Pro and AirPods Max to my PC. Even has the little popups like it does on iOS.

Yes but several of you exist in the world now

  • Would get this if it supported automatic switching between mac/iphone and windows. Use my macbook much more than my pc

There are several alternative apps, some open source
