Hey Oz Bargain Community,

I do go on a bit of a tangent below, so if you're flat chat, please feel welcome to skip to the good stuff below in bold

Welcome to our End of Financial Year (EOFY), stocktake, coffee party sale!

Hold onto your hat because this is one of our of our biggest deals yet. The idea is for a win-win deal scenario (well I guess that's always the idea haha), in a nutshell our prior lower pricing contracts are coming to an end and so is the financial year, so we're keen to finish this financial year on a strong note and also limit our accounting bill by minimising our stocktake transition from this financial year to the next. Now I know you'll likely thinking, "it's clear what Lime Blue Coffee gets from this deal, but get to the point of what I (the customer) gets by spending time reading this novel?" "(back to me talking) What a great question, you get up to a 60% saving on freshly roasted coffee and up to a 50% saving on coffee equipment/accessories, this means you can get 1kg of freshly roasted specialty grade coffee for as low $22.32 (I know that's wild)!"

Here's the mini journey I went on to decide on this deal. I went to the supermarket recently and noticed my coffee price increase predication, was already starting to take shape. Multiple widely known, commodity grade coffees were over $60kg per. I instantly thought, this seems like a perfect time to increase all coffee prices as per the heads up I explained the other month,. However, whenever I have a thought that's mean a big change I always take a breath of think it over carefully, usually waiting at least a day or two sometimes even weeks before making changes, as that gives me time to really think about the bigger picture and take the initial emotional human impulse out of the decision, to ensure decision are made which put both Lime Blue Coffee and our customers first. I'm far from perfect, but I have found this "take some time to really think things over" approach, highly effective to prevent making changes in the moment which would be clear mistakes in hindsight. Apologies, I digress, back to my follow up thoughts in the days following seeing notable, across the board, coffee price increases on supermarket shelves. My follow up thought was "what am I thinking, putting up prices because other do is a really bad move and not the Lime Blue way, we've always transparently sailed in our own direction and that's how we should continue, following others like that would be a penny wise pound foolish decision and is a slippery slope to a long term bad decision track and that path is no good for anyone…" We have started to draw down on our new increased pricing contracts and you will see some price increases which reflect that, however we still have some coffee available from our prior contract pricing, as such you'll see some coffees where there have been no price increases and there won't be increases until we really need to AKA until we're 100% drawing down coffee from new contract prices, that may happen right after this deal or a few weeks from now, who knows, but you don't need to worry about us increasing prices prematurely because we can see the market prices increasing, that's not what we're about. All that said, the deal of tomorrow is promised to no one, so if this deal ticks your boxes then I'd highly recommend making the most of it, our scheduled/delayed dispatch system and your freezer are both in play to make this deal a real win-win scenario for all.

To recap the deal, we're offering you up to a super 60% saving on our freshly roasted coffee and up to a 50% saving on coffee accessories and equipment, see links below:

1) Save Between 60%-40% On All Coffees, from only $22.32 per 1kg and from only $12.76 per 500g,

Hey @salem woohoo for that terrific order, thank you so much, it's truly appreciated!

So far so good on that front, so you should be all set for some serious freezing business :)

  • I ordered Moments to Memories blend a while back and was sadly let down. I had trouble producing crema with it and the beans looked unevenly roasted. I used up the full 1kg and was unable to make a good tasting espresso or milk coffee, no matter how I dialed in my machine and grinder.

These prices are cheap enough though I might give it another crack

    • Hey @spazr appreciate the feedback. I can't guarantee our coffee will suit your personal flavour preference, but I can guarantee you'll get the good stuff nice and fresh. When it comes to coffee, freshness means terrific levels of crema. If your shots were watery, lacking crema and perhaps a bit sour, it likely means the shots were channeling, this is fairly easy to fix with a few small extraction tweak. In terms of the colour of the beans, there is some Natural Processed coffee in our Moments to Memories Blend, this process means the unroasted coffee is slightly different in colour, which means when we roast is then beans do vary a bit in colour as well, so in this instance it's perfectly normal for some colour variation :)

Thank you so much for another opportunity, another order from you really does mean a lot, if you have any issues getting nice crema please don't hesitate to reach out and we'll happily assist!

  • been waiting for this, nice

      Fantastic to hear!

Very happy it's been worth the wait for you @soggypotato thank you so much in advance for your next order with us :)

  • Thanks for this, very tempting. Dumb question - does your apple crumble blend contain anything other than coffee beans? I'm doing intermittent fasting, and can drink straight coffee as long as there's nothing else added to it. Thanks

Music to my ears to know our deal's caught your eye @A-H :)

No dumb questions, just sometimes questionable answers. Better safe than sorry I always a winning ticket…just the good stuff in the bags AKA only coffee beans so now you can give into your temptation without getting yourself in strife!

      • Amazing, that's what I hoped! Thanks so much

        • Terrific to hear :)

Just bought 6kgs. Might as well start selling freezers with deals like these!

I have split my order into 3kg batches and one month apart so hopefully it wont be too bad. Do you add nitrogen to your coffee bags or do I squeeze the air out of the bags before putting them in the freezer? Thanks for the amazing varities and such a banger of a deal! I am very excited to try them out!

Hey @wiseasianguy WOW WOW WOW what fantastic orders, thank you so much!!!

haha funny you should mention that, in the back of my mind for a while now I've had the idea of creating a freezer specifically designed for coffee beans.

We don't currently add nitrogen to our bags. I would worry too much about pushing the air out of a sealed bag unless you're doing it for space saving reasons. We push the bulk of the air out before sealing, when the bags expand is lengths the freshness as it creates an environment where there's more C02 than oxygen, so if you then push the air out, you'll likely push more C02 out than oxygen and you ideally want the levels of C02 to be higher than oxygen within the bag.

Wonderful to know our deal and variety has us firmly in your good books, I promise we'll keep working hard to stay there :)

  • Which bean would you recommend for a Stovetop?

Hey @vongole83 always better to ask than wonder!

A few options instantly come to mind, so I can point you in the right direction, could you please let me know your preferences on the below:

      1) Do you have your coffee black, with milk or both?
      2) Low, medium or high acidity kick?
      3) In terms of flavour, more chocolate, caramel, fruity or somewhere in the middle?

  • If I store them in the freezer, is it okay to take some out and fill the grinder when I need to use them? Or should I just get the portion that I plan to grind?

    • +2

Hey @arst never hurts to double check!

Ideally once you take the coffee out of the freezer it stays out, so into your hopper should be fine :)

For me, I order in 500g bags and will defrost a whole bag at a time (in it's bag in a sealed container I put it in the freezer in). I'm a bit paranoid about condensation forming on my beans, so don't want cold beans getting exposed to the air. Once it's up to room temp the bag gets opened and the beans transferred to a different sealed container, and I dose out ~21g from that container for my grinder each time I'm making coffee.

Good deal. I've been waiting to try Lime Blue. I already have a fair bit of coffee inventory, but deferred delivery is helpful.

    • Fantastic to hear @realJuliusCaesar very happy our deal and unique scheduled/delayed dispatch systems are both winners for you!

Thank you so much for placing your first order with us, it's truly appreciated and something we won't take for granted, fingers crossed you love our fresh coffee :)

Hey @LimeBlueCoffee, thanks for your awesome efforts on this page - and didn't realise we are close to neighbours with you down in Moorabbin!

I ordered your Brazil SO, Moments to Memories and Nectar of the Gods. I was using a Eureka Mignon Manuale but upgraded to the Option-O Lagom P64 (it's an absolute dream). I did notice that it brought out more acidic tastes compared to other speciality beans I use. Would you say you roast your beans lighter across the range compared to other roasters? Thanks again and love your work here :)

    • Hey Neighbour AKA @jamie147 wonderful to know our posts and coffee has us firmly in your good books, we'll keep working hard to stay there!

WOW thank you so much for that terrific combo order, it's truly appreciated :)

Congrats on your new set up, upgrades are always exciting, especially if you instantly notice an improvement. Great question, but a little hard to answer perfectly. I'm sure there's both lighter and darker roasts out there. Acidity levels are impacted by a number of favors during both roasting and extracting the flavours. We tend to sail in our own direction, so we generally don't really pay too much attention to what else is out there, not that there's anything wrong with comparing to other, we've just found the best motivation for continued improvement is to complete against yourself. Wrapped to know you're enjoying the acidity/brightness levels of our coffees. I find the acidity level of a coffee really makes or breaks a coffee in terms of whether is interest and exciting to taste and we're continually experimenting to see how we can further elevate the flavour experience of our coffees!

4kgs of different single origins on the way. Looking forward to trying them out

    • WOW WOW WOW @IammeandI what a wonderfully terrific combo order, thank you so much, it's truly appreciated!

Fingers crossed you absolutely love each single :)

  • Hi rep. Really keen to order to try your beans for first time single origin as well as some decaf for mum, but unfortunately

All your 1/2 Kg are either sold out or unavailable. Any idea if/when coming back in stock, hopefully before sale ends?

Hey @ozhunter68 really appreciate you taking the time to reach out with this terrific opportunity!!!

I've just checked the site and all coffees are still available in 500g, when you get a sec please send a screenshot of the sold out message you can see to [email protected] In terms of the "unavailable" I suspect you may have 500g quantity and 1kg bags packaging also selected, if this is the case just change the 1kg bags packaging menu options to 500g bags :)

      • Thanks. Will give this a go.

Found the weight selection on the left tab and working now. Thanks again.

        • +1

          Perfect!

Thank you so much for the terrific order @ozhunter68 it really does mean a lot :)

  • Do you have any dark roasted beans for espresso?

    • Hey @vegemite2008 appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

Just to ensure we're on the same page are you looking for a dark roast as in shiny beans which are bitter in flavour or just looking for a strong chocolatey coffee flavour?
