Hey Oz Bargain Community,

I do go on a bit of a tangent below, so if you're flat chat, please feel welcome to skip to the good stuff below in bold

Welcome to our End of Financial Year (EOFY), stocktake, coffee party sale!

Hold onto your hat because this is one of our of our biggest deals yet. The idea is for a win-win deal scenario (well I guess that's always the idea haha), in a nutshell our prior lower pricing contracts are coming to an end and so is the financial year, so we're keen to finish this financial year on a strong note and also limit our accounting bill by minimising our stocktake transition from this financial year to the next. Now I know you'll likely thinking, "it's clear what Lime Blue Coffee gets from this deal, but get to the point of what I (the customer) gets by spending time reading this novel?" "(back to me talking) What a great question, you get up to a 60% saving on freshly roasted coffee and up to a 50% saving on coffee equipment/accessories, this means you can get 1kg of freshly roasted specialty grade coffee for as low $22.32 (I know that's wild)!"

Here's the mini journey I went on to decide on this deal. I went to the supermarket recently and noticed my coffee price increase predication, was already starting to take shape. Multiple widely known, commodity grade coffees were over $60kg per. I instantly thought, this seems like a perfect time to increase all coffee prices as per the heads up I explained the other month,. However, whenever I have a thought that's mean a big change I always take a breath of think it over carefully, usually waiting at least a day or two sometimes even weeks before making changes, as that gives me time to really think about the bigger picture and take the initial emotional human impulse out of the decision, to ensure decision are made which put both Lime Blue Coffee and our customers first. I'm far from perfect, but I have found this "take some time to really think things over" approach, highly effective to prevent making changes in the moment which would be clear mistakes in hindsight. Apologies, I digress, back to my follow up thoughts in the days following seeing notable, across the board, coffee price increases on supermarket shelves. My follow up thought was "what am I thinking, putting up prices because other do is a really bad move and not the Lime Blue way, we've always transparently sailed in our own direction and that's how we should continue, following others like that would be a penny wise pound foolish decision and is a slippery slope to a long term bad decision track and that path is no good for anyone…" We have started to draw down on our new increased pricing contracts and you will see some price increases which reflect that, however we still have some coffee available from our prior contract pricing, as such you'll see some coffees where there have been no price increases and there won't be increases until we really need to AKA until we're 100% drawing down coffee from new contract prices, that may happen right after this deal or a few weeks from now, who knows, but you don't need to worry about us increasing prices prematurely because we can see the market prices increasing, that's not what we're about. All that said, the deal of tomorrow is promised to no one, so if this deal ticks your boxes then I'd highly recommend making the most of it, our scheduled/delayed dispatch system and your freezer are both in play to make this deal a real win-win scenario for all.

To recap the deal, we're offering you up to a super 60% saving on our freshly roasted coffee and up to a 50% saving on coffee accessories and equipment, see links below:

1) Save Between 60%-40% On All Coffees, from only $22.32 per 1kg and from only $12.76 per 500g,

2) Save Between 50%-20% On All Coffees Equipment & Accessories,

Thank you so much for placing your first terrific order with us, it's truly appreciated and an opportunity I promise we won't take for granted!

      • I like espresso and strong ones with low acidity. Which one would you recommend?

        • Great question!

I have a hunch our Brazil Single Origin would be a real winner for you, it's got terrific, strong sweet chocolate notes :)

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: I’ll give it a shot! Cheers

Additional: the delivery cost is kinda dealbreaker, but ill do for this one lets see if it is great.

            • @superidiculous: Wonderful to hear, thank you so much for placing your first terrific order with us, it's truly appreciated!

I know first hand shipping is never fun to pay, but if it's of any comfort we subsidise our flat rate shipping, so in general shipping costs us more than you pay. • +1

@LimeBlueCoffee: The Moorabin pickup is weird.. just a big shelf that you walk in and take your order. I get 95% of people are honest, but all it takes is that one person

                • @87percent: Hey @87percent thank you so much for your recent order and the feedback too!

There is a bit of a trust system in place and there are CCTV cameras too. Thus far we haven't had any issues, fingers crossed it stays that way. In any case in the not too distant future orders will be picked up from within our HQ rather than near the front reception area :)

  • Well, my first emotional thought was “OMIGODTOMETOORDERHEAPSOFCOFFEE!!!” but I’ll take your lead and think about it for a bit to assess if I’ve already got some forward orders in the system (only one, I think) and what I’ll actually be needing/wanting into the future. The freezer has some space still, so that’s a bonus. My bank balance, however, may have too much space in it so I might not be able to lay in enough supply to last until The Apocalypse but for a couple of months at least. Thanks for posting, I’ll sit down over a nice, hot cup ‘o Joe later (Mexico Nayarita done on the stovetop - delicious!) and consider my options. Big or small, I’ll definitely be placing an order later today.

      Unemployment final boss

    • Morning @Chazzozz WOW that is one looooonnnnggggg word, but also a terrific notion!!!

Never hurts to take stock and have a think before pulling the trigger, this way you've got time to perfectly calculate the Goldilocks equation. Looks like you've nailed the plan to think it over, "think about coffee while having a coffee," love it. Big or small, it does make a difference and have a positive impact, so another order from you would be sincerely appreciated, thank you so much in advance :) :) :)

  • Hmmmm Apple Crumble Blend.

    • :)

    • Just finished a bag of this, it’s good!

I've tried a few bags so far and can confidently say that all of it has been delicious. With milk, without milk, espresso, French press, whatever. Highly recommend people give them a try if you haven't yet, and thank you @LimeBlueCoffee!

    • You're most welcome @j1nx I'm wrapped to know we're firmly in your good books and I promise we'll keep working hard to stay there :)

Wonderful to hear you think our Peru is "absolutely delicious" (so do I…of course a totally unbiased affirmation haha), thank you so much for another terrific order and your continued support, both really do mean so much!

  • Your buisness ethics are top notch favoring customers first over profit. We need more like you in the retail industry

    • WOW what a wonderfully uplifting vote of confidence, thank you so much, I promise we'll keep working hard to stay in your good books by continuing to step back and look at the bigger picture!!!

  • LB is my go to now. Just had 3kg delivered this morning, will put another future order in the system. Thanks!

    • WOOHOO love that, absolute music to my ears!!!

Thank you so much for another terrific order, I'm wrapped to know we're firmly in your good books, it really does mean a lot and is something I promise we won't take for granted :)

  • Trying a Peru and Brazil options. I normally like a stronger flavoured with milk with less acidity. Hopefully they are good.
How long do they store for unopened?

    • +1

Fantastic, nice choices @In5tag8r thank you so much for the terrific combo order, much appreciated!

At room temp I'd recommend getting through the good stuff within roughly a month of the roast date for the highest level of flavour enjoyment, but if you don't think you'll get through them in that timeframe, don't stress, there's a magic coffee box (well I think it's magic as the results are outstanding) that'll save the day…just chuck (gently place) the extra coffee in your freezer until you need it, as this will keep the good stuff nice and fresh for months while frozen :)

  • Any recommendation for light to medium roast? Last time I tried your São Paulo and while it wasn’t bad, wasn’t my favourite

    • Hey @87percent appreciate the check in and thank you so much for your recent order with us!

Never hurts to double check before pulling the trigger. Few quick questions to help me point you in the right direction, rather than leading you astray:

      1) How are you making the coffee, filter or espresso style?
      2) Black, with milk or both (from your initial comment I assume I know the answer, but worth a double check)?
      3) Preference for low, medium or a high acidity kick?
      4) Preference for fruity, sweet earthy/caramel, chocolatey or a combo in between?

      • Espresso, with milk, low (to medium) acidity and in between. If you have tried Axil “Seasonal Blend”, that’s been my favourite recently

        • Appreciate the follow up info!

What are your thoughts about question 4 "Preference for fruity, sweet earthy/caramel, chocolatey or a combo in between?" and also why wasn't the São Paulo your favourite (just for context so I can help point you in the right direction)?

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: probably a combo flavour

Not sure why i didn't like the Sao Paulo, it was just "fine" (?). It was just like getting a coffee from 7-11

            • @87percent: For the combo flavour, go for our Moments to Memories or Thank You Blend. No stress, if our São Paulo wasn't suited to your flavour preference, but talking like a 7-11 coffee makes me think the extraction may have needed a few small tweaks, do you still have any left? Nothing against 7-11, but like it or not, it should have tasted notably different to that :)

      • Which of these are considered a light roast? I like floral, fruity & slightly acidic style espresso but honestly unsure where to begin with the choices on your website.

        • Hey @Joehax always better to check than wonder!

We had some recently featured Single Origins that would have been the ticket for you, but they flew out the door like hot cakes. Right now the two closest options to what you're after is our Colombia Single Origin and Nectar of the Gods Blend. Nectar will be fruitier, Colombia will have a slightly higher acidity kick on the finish. If you really want florals and a light roast, you may need to hold up until we release new Single Origins which tick those boxes :)

  • Normally go for enterprise blend by airjo - can anyone recommend the most similar type of blend/roast etc?

    • +1

Try Brazil blend. Its bit more chocolaty and sweeter than enterprise

  • Thanks for the deal! Been buying LB for years now and keep coming back. What would you say out of this bunch is your pick for filter pour over?

    • You're most welcome @3rdEarth terrific to know it's a winner for you, thank you so much for your continued support, it truly means so much!!!

I literally enjoy them all for Pour Over, each for different reasons, my go to depends what type of cup I feel like. Let me know your normal go to for Pour Over by please answering the below:

      1) Preference for low, medium or a high acidity kick?
      2) Preference for fruity, sweet earthy/caramel, chocolatey or a combo in between?

      • Got a bunch of 1kg bags to be delivered now and in August. Preference for medium/high acidity kick but think these will be a good sample.

        Now
        Peru Chanchamayo Organic Single Origin
        Apple Crumble Blend
        Nectar of the Gods Blend

        August
        Brazil São Paulo Single Origin
        Peru Chanchamayo Organic Single Origin
        Pancake Party Blend

        Cheers for the deal!

        • WOW what a wonderful spread you've lined up!

Thank you so much for those outstanding combo orders, they're truly appreciated and I hope you absolutely love our coffees :)

p.s. love your planning ahead skills!

  • Time to end Aldi beans

  • +1

What is the strongest blend for milk based coffee with being bitter and also smoothest for black coffee please?

    • Hey @stevednj48 appreciate the check in!

If you're after a really sweet chocolatey option then our Brazil Single Origin will be the winner for you. If you're after more of a sweet caramel option that still has chocolate notes, then our Moments to Memories Blend should be the winner for you :)

  • Couldn't help myself, first order with you :)

    • WOW, that's absolute music to my ears!

Thank you so much for placing your first terrific order with us, it really does mean so much, fingers crossed you love our fresh coffee :)

  • Just ordered - I really like your delay pickup option. Appreciate your business ethics. Cheers.

    • Fantastic to hear, thank you so much for the terrific order and your wonderful vote of of confidence!

I'm wrapped to know you're happy with our unique ordering features and how we approach thing in general. I promise we'll keep working hard to stay in your good books by striving to always make Lime Blue better and better :)

  • Any recommendations that goes well with Oat milk and is less acidic? Thanks

    • Would like to know this too

      • Hey @Uncleroger and @Killua27 appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

I find chocolatey, caramel and nutty coffees paid extremely well with Oat milk. As such, I'd recommend our Brazil Single Origin (most chocolatey and lowest acidity level), our Peru Single Origin (Caramel, Nutty, with only a low-medium acidity kick) or our Moments to Memories Blend with lands somewhere in between the other two :)

  • Any recommendations for someone who mostly has coffee with milk, mainly make Latte and cap

I’ve got a fully automatic machine (delonghi)

    • Hey @ledzep sure thing, I'd recommend going for our Brazil Single Origin for a really chocolatey coffee and/or our Moments to Memories Blend if you want a coffee that has both chocolate and sweet caramel notes :)

  • What would you recommend for filter?
I've tried a few of yours, I think MTM might be my favourite.

I'm griding my own beans and brewing in an Aiden Fellow

    • Hey @Nuclearvodka never hurts to reach out first :)

Terrific to know our Moments to Memories Blend is a winner for you. I enjoy all our coffees for filter, so if you're able to answer the below question I'll be in a good position to steer you in the right direction:

      1) Preference for low, medium or a high acidity kick?
      2) Preference for fruity, sweet earthy/caramel, chocolatey or a combo in between?

      • I'm more into a chocolatey than fruity, low acidity, but as I've said, I've tried a few of yours, and I was never disappointed

        • +1

Got it, very helpful and thank you for the follow up compliment!

I'd also recommend our Brazil and Peru Single Origins for you. If you want to venture further to add some fruitiness to the mix while still enjoying sweet chocolate notes then you could try our Thank You Blend, Pancake Party Blend and our Apple Crumble Blend. Whatever the case you've got options and options are always great to have :)

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: Thanks, I got the brazil!

            • @Nuclearvodka: Nice choice (not that there's any wrong choices), fingers crossed it's your new favourite!

Thank you so much for another order and your terrific continued support, it really does mean so much :)

@LimeBlueCoffee still no ground option available?

    • At present we're exclusively sending out fresh coffee in whole bean form. However, you can currently [save 20% off the Fellow Opus Grinder via this deal,] (https://limebluecoffee.com/collections/coffee-equipment/prod…). I know it's an initial hit to the bank account, but it really should improve your coffee experience tenfold compared to using pre-ground and also vasty opening up your options for future coffee adventures :)

  • @LimeBlueCoffee Which one do you recommend for milk based coffee?

    • Not LBC but I’ve had great success with the Chanchomayo through an aeropress with milk - reliably tasty.

    • Hey @jeet appreciate the check in!

We have a few options that work really well for milk based coffees, have a quick look at our product pages, if you see "Beverage Base = Black or White - Deliciously Sweet Black, Enough Oomph to Cut Through Milk" then it's in the running as a potential winner for you :)

  • Any recommendations for a family who: uses only supermarket beans before (~10 years), e.g. Vittoria, Harris, Lavazza and ALDI?

    Thanks in advance!

By the way, machine is Breville BES920 with smart grinder.

Hey @conant thank you for reaching out with this opportunity, it's not something we take lightly!

We like to sail in our own direction, so we generally don't comment on other coffee companies. If you've got time to answer the below, I'll be able to steer you in the best direction:

        1) Black, with milk or both?
        2) Preference for low, medium or a high acidity kick?
        3) Preference for fruity, sweet earthy/caramel, chocolatey or a combo in between?

        • Thanks mate! I do not have any preference. I bought some (I forgot the name) from your website and it is just abit more than $70 to start with.

  • can i freeze the bags you send or do they need to go into a seperate container for the freezer?

    • I have similar question. Like how long are these beans good for? Do I need to freeze them to keep them fresh?

      • +2

They answered above ⬆️ in another comment - months in the freezer or use within a month at room temp.

        • +1

Hey @akatsuki the reply from @zfind (really appreciate the answer assist, thank you) is spot on :)

    • Hey @gavincato always better to ask than wonder!

All good to put the bags straight in the freezer, if you have vac seal containers even better :)

  • Delayed delivery options is very helpful in ordering, thank you.

    • Fantastic @swamp potato it's music to my ears to know our unique delayed/scheduled dispatch system is a real hit for you, feedback much appreciated :)

  • I don't suppose you guys have any pre ground ranges do you?

    • Hey @Docccy never hurts to double check. "At present we're exclusively sending out fresh coffee in whole bean form. Hi OP, this is my first order. Excited to give it a go!

I bought multiple of the same beans to get free shipping. Scheduled delivery for end of July. Is it possible to stagger the delivery of the others? Ie. 1 per month? I can't seem to find that option, thank you.

    • Hey @Killua27 WOW I'm wrapped to know your excited to get stuck into the good stuff, thank you so much for placing your first terrific order with us, it's truly appreciated and an opportunity we won't take for granted!

Never hurts to double check just incase. As per the "some helpful info:" section of the post "One dispatch per order." We're unable to split orders across several dispatch dates from both technical and financial perspectives. To achieve different dispatch dates requires multiple orders. However, I know how appealing free shipping is, so I've got a have your cake and eat it too, type solution for you…just keep the order as is, when it arrives, simply freeze the extra coffee until you need it, as freezing coffee extends the freshness while frozen for months :)

  • I'm interested in ordering, I'd love some suggestions from buyers or OP. Our house is all about french press and pour over/immersion (Hario Switch).
We like strong black coffees with caramel and chocolatey sort of tones. If I'm after something not quite so strong I like it to be a bit smoother and creamier.
It seems like there are some enthusiastic customers on here, so I'm keen to see what I can learn from you all. Thanks!

    • +1

The São Paolo SO I would describe as creamy and deep, but I drink it white so may differ!

      • +1

Agree. Brazil Sao Paulo is my default, because I like the chocolatey/caramel flavours. But I also drink it white.

        • +1

Hey @macklington appreciate you taking the time to reach out with such helpful details in your query :)

@zfind and @salem (thank you for the answer assist) are both giving you a great recommendation. Our São Paolo has wonderfully sweet, strong chocolate notes. I'd also recommend our Peru Single Origin if you're keen on strong caramel notes. If you want a Goldilocks option with great levels of both chocolate and caramel notes then look no further than our Moments to Memories Blend!

  • Thanks, ordered. Great coffee at a great price.

    • +1

How fantastic, thank you so much for another terrific order @Captain Hindsight and your terrific, uplifting vote of confidence, it really does mean so much!!!

  • Happy to give it a crack. What's the recommendation for peeps who just want a strong moka pot with a dash of milk?

    • +1

Love the sound of that, really appreciate this opportunity!

Would you rather caramel, chocolate or somewhere in the middle?

      • Not too fussy about the finer points. As long as it's a strong, full bodied cuppa I'm happy.

        • +1

Sure thing, got it, three options come to mind, our Brazil Single Origin, Peru Single Origin or our Moments to Memories Blend :)

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: Righto, well then, Brazil here we come.

            • @moodywoody: Terrific choice, not that there's any bad choices :)

Thank you so much for placing your first fantastic order with us, it really does mean so much and is an opportunity we won't take for granted!

  • Sent it with a brick of Pancake Party, here’s hoping it’s delicious 🤞🏽

    • WOOHOO Pancake Party!!!

Thank you so much for the terrific order, it really does mean so much. I not only hope you love it, but also that it lives up to it's name by kicking off a fun coffee party for you :)

  • Just ordered 4kg across some old favourites and some new ones to try. Hopefully the bag sealer is fully working now! Going to have to deep freeze a bunch of it :)

    • +1

Hey @salem woohoo for that terrific order, thank you so much, it's truly appreciated!

So far so good on that front, so you should be all set for some serious freezing business :)

  • I ordered Moments to Memories blend a while back and was sadly let down. I had trouble producing crema with it and the beans looked unevenly roasted. I used up the full 1kg and was unable to make a good tasting espresso or milk coffee, no matter how I dialed in my machine and grinder.

These prices are cheap enough though I might give it another crack

    • Hey @spazr appreciate the feedback. I can't guarantee our coffee will suit your personal flavour preference, but I can guarantee you'll get the good stuff nice and fresh. When it comes to coffee, freshness means terrific levels of crema. If your shots were watery, lacking crema and perhaps a bit sour, it likely means the shots were channeling, this is fairly easy to fix with a few small extraction tweak. In terms of the colour of the beans, there is some Natural Processed coffee in our Moments to Memories Blend, this process means the unroasted coffee is slightly different in colour, which means when we roast is then beans do vary a bit in colour as well, so in this instance it's perfectly normal for some colour variation :)

Thank you so much for another opportunity, another order from you really does mean a lot, if you have any issues getting nice crema please don't hesitate to reach out and we'll happily assist!
