On the heel of the current trend of #ozbargainbootposting - I think the Hanger boot has been slept on by ozbargain boot fans - and (imo) is a slightly more aesthetic choice than the ozbargain favourite chelsea - or the similarly newly popular Wisconsin boot (which importantly has that brown stripe sticker that is prone for falling off according to reports.)

    It's a pity that these stylish boots have super narrow toe box. Soooo cramped.

    Alternative is a black clown shoe :(

      I usually wear 787 Blundstone for work. Only comes in black. Has steel toe cap (probably the only dress boot that does that isn’t a cowboy boot) - but by design has a reasonable toe box. Fair warning they scuff REAL easy on the toe where the steel cap part is.

      Have you got these boots? Mine arrived yesterday and my toes are definitely not cramped, and I have a wide foot.

          I think the Chelsea is supposed to be wide (2E) as well, so maybe you have a really wide foot?

      Likely just a design element and sole is cemented. But these soles are TPR instead of PU and lasted me 2+ years of regular use.

    How is sizing compared to the ol' cheap Rivers ones? I found the Rivers were almost a size up too large, as in too big for my foot vs my other shoes.

    Impressed for sub $100 on first impression.
    How well they will hold up.. not sure.

    Seen them in the shop today. They actually look really good, way better than Chelsea which look cheap all over (more like a BigW stock). But Hanger seems to be a differnt league. Definitely a good buy at discounted price. In terms of the size - go one lower (if you are for example UK8 then go UK7).

    Just got mine today. bought to my usual size, too tight, crushing my toes.
    Going to order two sizes up and return the first pair.
    Really nice shoe though. Quality and style are great.

      Damn maybe I got lucky, I just did a weekend with these shoes on a trip interstate and they went well with a decent amount of walking.

        Yes, I'm just unlucky I think. By two sizes up, I mean two half sizes, so going to re-order to 10.5 US.
        Like the shoe, shiny though so be interested to see how they wear and re-shine. Funny how the the Amazon listing says Switzerland as the origin but they are made in China. I was highly doubting they were going to be Euro made.

    Surprised others are saying these crush the toe. I took out the insole and replaced with my orthotics. These have been the only boots that are not actually tight at all. I find them light and quite comfortable straight out of the box. Great for $90 if they last!
