I noticed a couple of the new Lego Speed Champions F1 cars are discounted to $29.99 with a coupon.

At time of posting, the McLaren, Ferrari and Red Bull have a $2 coupon taking them down to $29.99

I have the Ferrari and McLaren so far, 8 to go.

Did George get a penalty for turning in on Max? Asking for a friend…

    Grabbed the McLaren, thanks!

Williams sold out, to be expected after how many front wings they destroyed last weekend.

  • David Jones has buy 2 for 25%, so if you're buying 2, it's same price for all sets of this series

    • You could price match then get the 2 for 25% off?

      • Tried. They won't price match with Amazon :(

        • Even if they do, how do you get both price match and discount though? Myer is $31.99 for example, surely they'll price match that if it's only a match?

  • Anyone have experience with bricklink/brickowl etc? I found an MOC for the APXGP car but I've never bought individual LEGO pieces before. Do those sort of sites guarantee they're genuine?

    • I use Bricklink semi regularly.

The shops are mostly run by Lego enthusiasts, so you would have to be very unlucky to get anything fake, I've not head of it happening before.

The marketplace has a similar feedback system as eBay, and sellers work hard to keep the feedback positive, so if you have any issues most sellers will do everything to make you whole again.

If you want an example of how a seller works, there are plenty of sellers that also have a YouTube channel, and they run through their processes. Not very thrilling viewing, but should give you an idea.

Here is an example of a guy in WA:

      Also, pro tips:

      • create a wanted list and select "buy all" and the system will find one seller that is selling all your parts, or if there isn't one with all of them, they will find the fewest number of sellers.
      • you can filter for only Australian sellers, I recommend this, as since COVID, international postage cost basically means it will always be cheaper to source locally. And the tool that selects sellers for you just finds the cheapest prices for pieces, it does not take into account shipping costs.
    • Do those sort of sites guarantee they're genuine?

No serious seller (with a lot of sales/reviews) will do anything silly like selling fake Lego. However, an exception might slip through. Read the T&C - they might refund your money on the part, but you'll have to fork out shipping to replace it (e.g. elsewhere).

Note, if the parts are used, they'll have scratches.

Unless you have spare parts, MOCs are exy - parts & shipping (unlikely to be just one purchase from one seller). Best bang for buck is to look for an alternate build. Also, are you going to recreate the stickers too?

This is likely to last much longer than half the stuff posted here. Get on your boat, Greta.
