  • Wasn't it lower than 700?

That's for the standalone console. This is the Mario Kart World bundle.

Talking about bundle… Sonewhere on ozb.

I will see how this goes but i would wait for a OLED version of this.

At this price, they should have put in OLED screen. Probably will release OLED version for ~ $900 in future.

    • It's a 1080p, HDR, variable refresh screen that does 120hz. How much is an OLED that does the same?

  • Officeworks is also $766 so no price beat.

  • +1

    10% off GC from Coles.
    769*0.9=692.1 from JB

    • What 10% off ?

      • Ultimate Gift Cards (Him, Teen), which can be used at JB Hi-Fi.

I'm glad I didn't waste my money after watching some of the reviews; it was very disappointing.

    • What? Who gave it a negative review?

    • No answer? Just admit you lied.

Every time I've gone into Centrecom, their staff are always rude. TBH would rather shop at Officeworks.

    • I thought it was just me. I feel rushed every single time. Almost to the point that I feel like they don't like me being there.

THeir marketing team has no idea what it feels like inside a Centrecom store. They're not your friendly neighborhood electronic store

    • Officeworks is a great option! That's where I got my switch. Delivered on release day too!

  • they sell switches now? thats news to me

    • pokemon cards next

  • $700+ for what this is seems expensive to me. I’ll wait for the eventual price reduction when Nintendo realises people cant afford it.

    • You underestimate the herd mentality, kid pester power and naive parents not wanting to disappoint their kids ;-)

      • Maybe your right, only time will tell.

    • That's not true as it's selling really well already.

      • I’m saying that in the long run at current pricing I can’t see this console selling as well as the OG switch. Especially for families that used to buy more than 1.

For me to buy it I would need to spend the following:
        $770 console + Mario kart
        $110 switch 2 pro controller
        $140 256gb micro as express
Total = $1040 just to play Mario kart and bring over a few (not all) of my digital games that I have on switch 1.

It’s expensive as all hell and I don’t think the early adopter Nintendo fan brigade is a good measure of what the long term sales will be.

        But I could be wrong.

    • Previous "first 24 hour launch sales" record holder was PS4 with 1 million units sold, and previous "launch window (first 2 months) sales" record is jointly held by PS4 and PS5 for around 4.5 million units sold.

While it hasn't been officially confirmed, the Switch 2 has reportedly smashed the first record with 3 million units sold, which also means that it's already well on track to demolish the second record.

  • Brother.. this is PS5 level pricing :O

  • When is the Switch 2 Pro coming out ?

    • +1

      switch lite
      switch oled
      switch super
      switch 3

      • …Switch 3 with XBox

  • Problem is even when bundles start to come out you'll still be paying full price for the console as it's overpriced

    • How is it overpriced?
