Samsung S90D 55" QD-OLED 4K Smart TV $1351 + Delivery ($0 to Selected Metro Areas) @ Powerland eBay

980
SSNOW

I came across this OLED TV deal yesterday after searching for a month. If you don’t want to create an Afterpay account, you can still get $100 off using the code SSNOW.

Note: It was $48 cheaper yesterday, so if you missed out then, this is still a great opportunity.

  • Very good deal and also got a code for 100$ off.

  • That’s a great price, would be comparable in price to some 42inch lg oled deals

  • Anyone managed to find faster shipping? Seems to be 1 month shipping ETA

  • +1

It shows 270$ delivery for me…

  • +1

I get the same price but much cheaper postage ($81 compared to $270) on the PowerLand website:

    https://www.powerland.com.au/samsung-55-series-9-s90d-oled-4…

    • Thanks! grabbed one for 1472$ with delivery

That lot sold out too - there was 1 left around 4.45am which I missed - it then relisted at https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/405934428987
    4 left now.
I picked it up for $1351 including delivery Syd metro using the coupon.
Great find OP - I'd been looking for ages and was about to buy a Neo QLED then thought I'd better check OB first.

  • Absolute cracker of a deal, thanks OP, free delivery for me in Melb metro too

  • Wtf seems a ridiculous price for OLED, is it inferior as it's QD?

    • +1

      Qd is better?

    • QD-OLED is better usually. (not to confused with QLED/QD-LED).

  • I grabbed this for $1349. Thought it was a pricing error, but it actually shipped!
Phenomenal screen at a phenomenal price.

  • Got one free delivery. Thanks OP!

  • Native 100hz, overclocked to 144, is this a gimmicky 144?

I read your comment below, it seemed like you got a good deal from Bing Lee…so it l worked out in the end.

          • @StealthAU: Floor stock but happy, for the chill out / kids room not going to get much better at the price. PS5 will be hooked up so will be great I reckon. Still 1350 for a spanker is nice too. Apparently a great TV overall and will have to get some HDR content.

  • Still 3 left here https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/187295810015

Just got one for $1351 delivered

  • Great tv. Only dislike is the Samsung bloatware that comes with the tv now

  • +1

I currently have a Samsung QD-OLED 65" and have had two LG (W) OLEDs before. I hate most things about the Samsung TV except for the QD panel - esp the insufferable dimming issue. If not for then QD panel, I'd have bought another LG instead.

Just double checked that this one uses QD OLED since there are reports of WOLED panels in other sizes/regions.

    >
    Copied:
    Evidence and Explanation
    Panel Type by Model Code:
In Australia, Samsung S90D OLED TVs with model codes ending in “WXXY” (like QA55S90DAWXXY) are equipped with QD-OLED panels. This is confirmed by multiple sources, including RTINGS and community reports, which state that the 55" and 65" S90D models with “WXXY” endings are QD-OLED, while models ending in “EXXY” (such as the 77" and 83") are WOLED.

No Panel Lottery for 55" S90D in Australia:
There is no credible evidence of a panel lottery for the 55" S90D in Australia. All available information and user confirmations indicate that the 55" S90D with the “WXXY” suffix is consistently QD-OLED.

    Reinforcement from Retail Listings:
Major Australian retailers (JB Hi-Fi, Videopro, Samsung Australia) list the 55" S90D as QA55S90DAWXXY, matching the QD-OLED designation.

    • So compared to your other LG OLED TVs, what is so great about the QD panel on the Samsung OLED TV?

      • +1

        The colours and brightness.

I had an LG C7 (older) and a smaller 42 inch LG C4. None of even them are even close to the Samsung panel. I read that LG G5 is much better compared to older gen LGs in this aspect. Maybe even C5 is good. But colours might look more saturated in bright highlights on a QD panel.

But G5 is still much more expensive than this deal and even C5 is not as cheap.

I also have bunch of other oled devices (laptop, tab, phone etc). Only the phone comes close (phone can actually get much brighter but it looses colours when it does).

        • Waiting on delivery but thought the C4 brightness was decent. I will say, I really liked the LG C8 software, but the C4 was a little bit overcooked for my liking. Used for PC for a while, incredible picture and very happy with it in terms of contrast etc. Just confusing software… It's been relegated to our bedroom now.

          • @BusMan247: I think at bigger sizes, C4 brightness is decent. But C5/G5 and the Samsung QD-OLEDs should be better. Esp with HDR. SDR full screen brightness should be good in all.

I completely agree on the software. My C7 was the ideal interface. Now the C4 has too many stuff. I do like the extra control/info in some stuff like game mode. But it needs a bit of customisation.

I bought the S95b because that was the first QD-OLED TV and there was no completion (and I'd already given my old LG to my parents, so needed to get a TV soon). In a way, I'm glad I didn't wait for LG to start doing QD-OLEDs. But there's alot of tradeoffs.

I just missed out on this deal.

So I rang Bing Lee.. Got a floor model for $888.

Couple left in Sydney for those interested. I already have a C4 and C8, keen to see how this goes..

    • I have the older 90C model 55" and your mind will be blown on HDR content in 4K. The brightness is blinding. Have never seen an OLED be this bright. The 90D is even brighter than mine. The only negative on my 90C model is upscaling 720P resolution content (Most free to air tv) or low bitrate content which looks like dog poo. But feed it 4k or even 1080P high bitrate HDR content and be prepared to be blown away. Mate, possible to Ozb msg me the receipt? You can rub off your details from the receipt. For $900, it is killer. How many hours does it show on the demo TV in the settings menu?

      • Sent you a PM. Hope that helps.

  • Excellent price. I was close to pulling the trigger but this is what I paid for my 55" S95B which is almost identical. Good find OP.

    • Thanks managed to get one

      • Got refunded dang

    • How is it in stock with a delivery date of 25/6 - 1/7? A little misleading. Thanks for letting us know. I am so close to purchasing but I ain't waiting that long for a TV to arrive.

  • My order got refunded for some reason?

    • I had a feeling that would happen. I wonder how many people will actually receive a TV. Disappointing, considering their excellent Product Review rating.

  • My order also got refunded, looks like they might be out of stock

  • The buggers refunded mine too. And I bought eBay gift cards just to buy this! They are now zero use to me!!

  • My order has been cancelled too. Reason - out of stock or damaged.

  • +1

I messaged them - got this : "Hi, we sincerely apologize for the confusion - the listing was out of stock and there was a delay in it being removed, but due to an issue with our eBay integration, it was mistakenly relisted and then taken down again."

    • -1

First time I ever got refunded, do we get some sort of coupon or voucher? Would be nice if we can and then use it on something else in their store when a sale comes?

      • Nope. Nothing. Annoying as I bought eBay gift cards to purchase this and now have no tv and a bunch of gift cards I don’t need

  • Anyone able to recommend speakers for this TV and music listening, around the $200-300 mark? I know nothing about TVs and bought this as seemed like good deal - haven’t been refunded (yet) so hopefully get it.
