  • How would this compare to a Bose QC45/SE? I had a pair of the Bose but I gave it to my dad, been looking for a bargain replacement.

    • +1

even the cheaper Bose SE is said to be based on the older QC35 ii design which had good almost flagship level noise cancelling just like Sony XM3, XM4.

only reason to get Yamaha would be 1. cheaper, 2. better sound probably if you find the sound you like in the app. I hear the non QC Ultra bose's just have "safe" acceptable but a bit boring sound, which you can't do much with because the app is limited.

also keep in mind what I said about the small earpad space on the Yamaha's. Bose QC45/SE are described as having large earpad space and great comfort.

Amazon also have it for $1 more at $140 (RRP $177.77) if anyone prefers to buy it from Amazon or has GC.

yeah sorry couldn't link to multi billion dollar company that charges $1 more. 😂
I think amazon's algorithm had a oopsie moment. probably expected Rio to charge shipping so computer thought "$140 we got this".

if Rio didn't offer free shipping I would have posted amazon for $140.

Was going to get from Amazon with beige/black colour. Changed my mind after reading the review around 3.8. The OW Otto Pastel is actual pretty good for $17. Think it’s a good deal if I haven’t got the OW one and a Bose Ultra, with the box, aux and Yamaha logo.

  • Neither code working and I am stingy once I see that they existed. Anyone got a working code?

    • +1

first code sounds like a first order sign up popup code to me. did you go to home page and scroll around a bit?
usually a popup offers you. not sure about minimum spend though.

      • I think they've both expired or been disabled for the sale. I decided against it anyway after seeing the Amazon reviews.

        • +1

yeah I just found them from old deals. thought they are worth a try.

thanks for mentioning they don't work. not a single user mentioned if they worked or not before. I will stop posting them.
