In the past, I've seen these phones drop to half price when the new model is imminent.
I got my mum the Razr 40 for $700 last year.

I'm pretty hyped for the 60 though early reviews are a bit mixed, esp on whether the bigger battery actually delivers a whole day experience, and the AI especially. The Samsung Flip 7 will be out probably in the next 30 days - I'm hoping they've finally fixed that front cover to be as versatile with apps as the Moto
