Ok all, first time poster so please be kind if this isn't great. I've been looking for a new laptop and this seems to be a pretty good option. My work uses older versions of these and they don't have any issues with them. Like the idea that they seem to be a bit more solidly built than the average consumer based laptop. Would love to hear everyone's opinion if you think it's a good deal or not. Would love to hear some suggestions for alternatives at this price. Also never heard of this store so would be nice to hear if anyone has dealt with them. Thanks everyone

45% NTSC is not great either but 300nits should be the minimum standard, Harvey Norman is selling a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15.6-inch R7-5825U/16GB/1TB SSD Laptop with a TN panel with 250 nits of brightness for $1400 in 2025 is disgusting 🤢🤮
HN is selling a consumer range budget HP laptop with Ultra 5 for $1,099

Seems to be a good Price for those who prefer an HP enterprise grade laptop with the newer Ultra 5 CPU.
Suggest looking at Lenovo Thinkpad E series coupled with ShopBack at 20%, some solid cheaper options.
who is that through?
Direct with Lenovo online store, click through from ShopBack for the cashback
Possibly wait for some real EOFY deals ?
Probook deals have been trash recently but this for the g11 is pretty good!
This isn't a bad deal at all - I work in IT and have a Probook 450 G7 that I got for free (somewhat "consumed" battery) and it's solid.
As other have mentioned the screens aren't super bright - but the idea behind these is that they're used in a workplace and most people have docks / do not have a requirement for brighter screens.
Their build quality, warranty, repairability, replacement parts and upgrade ability (unfortunately only RAM and SSD's these days) is quite high and they're easy to pull apart.
I really like them for that reason - I'd get a used Probook but if i was going new I'd go with a Framework if I had the money. Secondly I'd go with something like this or a Lenovo Thinkpad for a moderately better deal.
I don't like HP consumer anything and their printers suck too, but they do know how to make a good business laptop.
The last HP laptop we had recently only lasted a year, the screen must have been affected by daily opening and closing and gave constant flickering and ended with a blank screen, never again.
Brand new or used?
Was it a consumer laptop (Hardly Normal, JB, etc) or a Business laptop (Probook, Elitebook, etc?If its brand new you'd have warranty or consumer law.
HP consumer laptops suck, they're designed to fail basically and be as cheaply made and plastic as possible. The same goes for Dell and the likes too.
300 nits is on the low side depending on your use case.
