        i have debit card and was targeted for this. I believe you need to have certain number of transactions in a previous month to qualify for NAB goodies.

      I did call them ages ago and said where are my offers ? ,(CSO) said will check settings in the system and i just started buying small stuff at Woolies/Coles etc and the offers just started.

    Got this offer last time and got a $100 Woolies card.

    Thier system is extremely convoluted. Have to sign up, get an app, then load a electronic credit card like gift card into your Google wallet. Then make sure that one is selected when you tap you phone.

    Just send me a code I call load into Woolies app Would be much easier.

    What do people usually get? I had the mistake of getting a woolies one before and only realised post-purchase that it can only be used in-store.

    Can't find anything for amazon and coles as well. hmm

      You could make this work if you get a bit creative.

      If you get a Woolworths Special gift card, you should be okay to use it to purchase any gift card in-store at Woolworths or Woolworths Metro.

      If you get a BIG W Special gift card, you could go in-store and purchase any gift card. For example, this person recently said they used a BIG W Special gift card to pay for an Amazon gift card.

      If you get an Aussie Explorer gift card, you could go in-store and purchase any gift card at any service station categorised as MCC 5411.

      • If you are interested in Amazon gift cards, I explain this in more detail here.

      • If you are interested in WISH gift cards, you would need to go to an EG Ampol service station (although some locations are not very good at replenishing stock on the gift card shelf).

      • If you are interested in Coles Group & Myer gift cards, you would need to go to a Shell Reddy/Coles Express service station (although a lot of locations are not very good at replenishing stock on the gift card shelf).

      If you get a Tech Head gift card, you could use it to purchase any gift card in-store at Officeworks, including Coles Group & Myer gift cards. Keep in mind that Officeworks has a gift card policy that basically says you cannot purchase a gift card using any kind of gift card, but if you only tell the staff member you want to use a card or Mastercard as a payment method, you should be fine.

      This advice of course assumes you are fine with a merchant-specific gift card, which I appreciate may not always be suitable.

      If you wonder what I get, I usually get either a Woolworths Special gift card or an Aussie Explorer gift card, depending on the type of gift card I want to stock up on.

Although while reading re: BIG W special gift card, someone said that they couldn't use Woolies special Gift card to pay for Ultimate GCs so most probably I'll just go for the Aussie Explorer GC and use it for petrol.

          No.

          The gift card issuer has set up the Woolworths Special gift card so that it only works at the brand on the gift card (i.e. in-store at Woolworths and Woolworths Metro, as well as Woolworths Online).

          If you attempt to shop at a different type of store (e.g. BIG W, the Woolworths Group gift card portal), any transactions there will be declined.

              With regards to eBay, in the context of this Special cashback deal, that will be tricky, but here are a couple of ideas:

              • I have seen eBay gift cards being sold in-store at Woolworths, which means that you should be able to use a Woolworths Special gift card to purchase that.

              • GCDB says that eBay gift cards are sold at Officeworks. I have not seen them myself there, but if they are sold there, you should be able to use a Tech Head gift card to purchase an eBay gift card (or any other gift card there, for that matter). Keep in mind that Officeworks has a gift card policy that basically says you cannot purchase a gift card using any kind of gift card, but if you only tell the staff member you want to use a card or Mastercard as a payment method, you should be fine.

              It would probably be easiest to purchase it in-store at Woolworths, but it would be best to check your local Woolworths first if they stock eBay gift cards.

                  Woolworths Special gift cards are prepaid Mastercard gift cards that can only be redeemed at Woolworths stores, Woolworths Metro stores and Woolworths Online. Therefore, at the self-checkout, you need to choose Card (or Card (Split Payment), if required) on the payment screen.

      If you have the special app, I think you can see the card number. I used this number to buy from Woolies online so it worked for me.

      Woolworths special gift card is the best for me. I can..:
      Use it online (number on the app) and offline
      Use all balance myself
      Use it anywhere else by purchase the ultimate gift card (amazon, apple itunes, officework, etc)
      Double dip, I usually get the gift card from Amex for Amex point, woolies point and 10% off…

    Special issues restricted mastercards and not e gift cards like Big W or Woolworths. You won't be able to add the Woolworths gift card to everyday rewards.

    Something similar is done with the e shell gift cards. Note some merchants will surcharge as these cards are treated as prepaid mastercards.

        If that's how it works, it is pretty pathetic. Amex system is so much better, you even get notifications when offers are about to expire. I will be taking screenshots of any decent offers in future, just in case they disappear before the expiry date.
