Excludes Northern Territory, QLD Far North, WA Regional, WA Remote.

This electric scooter was popular last time and now it's even cheaper for those with eBay Plus. This is a good option if you want something for short commutes or a bit of fun. Especially since it's from Xiaomi/Segway and not some generic rebrand from China which has a good chance of snapping from inferior build quality. jv loves their scooter.

Featuring a 300W front motor with 600W max power, up to 35km range, 3 speed modes with up to 25km/h speed, front eABS + rear dual disc brakes, 10" tubeless tyres, password locking, suitable for riders up to 110kg and can be connected to the Mi Home app via Bluetooth for settings, locking etc.

You can ride this scooter legally in public with the exception of NSW and SA where it's private property only. This is planned to be changed in 2025 (hopefully)

        A very worrying image.

        • Worrying coz that's two people talking in bold fonts

          • @donman92: Thats what you call,……"Bold Double Speak"

Just like our MSM news lol

          • @donman92: When two bolds collide you get…

            headings

      • +1

        Is that really jv

      • They/them really love it

  • -5

Does it come with a helmet?

    • +1

      Doesn't look like it.

  • +2

    Can it be hacked

    • +2

Anything can if your brave enough!

    • +1

I think anything after the pro 2 isn't support by most of the unlocking tools. Could have changed though.

    • Yes, with a tomahawk

  • +2

good luck climbing any incline or hills with this.

    • +4

You could probably strap it to your back

    • Not good enough?

    • +3

I own it, handles around 5-10 with slowdown to around 15km max settings, much more it'll just give up

      • +2

I see it as a feature. having experience first hand scooterville elsewhere in the world, and having to be on constant alert of traffic on the fking sidewalk as i jumped around dodging scooters zipping by at 20+km/h lacking power is a good thing.

        • This. They should be banned off foot paths, or better yet licence required and ride on road only like a motorbike. I've seen so many nearly take people out hooking around corners etc, especially bad for the elderly who aren't so sure footed. The drivers either don't notice or don't care. Either is a problem.

          • +2

@ratman: You want them on the road going 25kmh? People have issues with bicycles

            • @Tleyx: If 25kmh is a reasonable speed for conditions at the time then sure, sometimes on my motorcycle or even on my Vespa 25kmh is a reasonable speed. Sometimes 80 is. Sometimes 110 is (well the vespa doesn't go much about 80 tbf, but neither would I want it to)

Like I said, they should be licensed and treated the same as motorcycles.

              • +1

@ratman: Why do i need another licence to ride my e scooter? I already have a motorcycle licence and can ride a 200hp r1 and you want me to get another licence to see if i can ride a 3hp e scooter. Like wtf?

                • @Tleyx:

licensed and treated the same as motorcycles.

Who said anything about a escooter specific license?

                  • @ratman: What are you talking about then?

                    • @Tleyx:

so many nearly take people out hooking around corners etc, especially bad for the elderly who aren't so sure footed. The drivers either don't notice or don't care. Either is a problem.

                      • @ratman: How will having a licence that I already have stop me taking out elderly people?

If they cant stay out of the road of my r1 how can they stay out of the way of an e scooter

  • +1

Can I join a teen gang with this or only electric bikes

    • +1

i think you will be robbed.

    • +1

Depends, do you own a machete?

    • Sure, but it has to be stolen.

  • +1

I'm surprised electric scooters up to 600W are legal, but no EPAC over 250W is allowed.

That being said, based on my testing most EPACs will also send up to 15A of power on a 36v battery (up to 40v charged) equating to over 600W of output power

    • +3

      It's because they're speed limited to 25km/h I guess

  • We bought this one in the last promo by Panmi, been realy happy with it but the speed seems to be locked at max 25Km/h, does anyone know how to set it up so it can go up to 30km/hr?

  • +1

Still waiting for SA gov… There was a small update not too many days ago, but "early 2025" sounds more like "end of 2025" now. Still reluctant to get one before they become legal.

I think I better return my Aldi scooter still NIB and get this
Both will keep unopened, but this one looks to have better specs

Found a better deal for $150, good health wise 👌

If looking for for a better scooter (for double the price) this one is on sale. G3 is out now so I'm expecting this to come down further…

    • Reviews look pretty good on this one, very tempting.. How long would you give it before the price drops more do you think?

      • +1

No idea, I thought it may have been ~ $1000 after release of the G3 but I'd say with the higher price of the G3 people are still buying the G2 given it's a known performer.
There has been some sub $1000 deals so maybe that's the benchmark still.

  • +1

Are these legal to ride in NSW now?

    • +3

Not yet. They've talked about legalising it but no date yet.

      • +1

Been talking for years back in 2020, got a second hand scooter to ride to the shops and just in case… still talking about it!

        • Difference is that was when the minister said no way. Now it looks to have political support.

  • I hated riding a bike cause it'd always get stolen, and then the hassle of finding where to place it, bringing it on public transport etc.

    so gave up on that.

Thought about scooters but realize it's way more dangerous and likely to get stolen and has the same issues with a bike haha.

guess my only options left is walk, (buy a car) , or ptv for work or school D:

    • +1

Yup escooters get stolen more than anything. The thieves will go at it with an angle grinder.

      • I wonder if the solution is an ebike/escooter being sold in two parts: Part A: Frame/wheels Part B: BMS/Battery/HUD.. on a quick release. and can be taken with you. That leaves the motor.. i guess that's not feasible for a clean quick release solution.. and i guess the copper in the motor will always attract the junkie. :(

  • It legal unless you get caught 😜

  • Missing a bit of suspension I think. Otherwise looks ok.

  • Crack the head bracket, between the front bar t-section.

  • Already legal in SA
I belive the legislation past sometime in March

  • Exclude NT, of course!

  • Seller rating of 94.4% is pretty low…

    • I wonder if anyone got it how do they find it in terms of shipping, speed, warranty docs all in order?
