Some confusing naming on the Corsair drives but apparently the 2TB version of this is the good one with the Phison E27T controller with part number CSSD-F2000GBMP600MNR2. Reviews on it seem pretty decent for the price and capacity. 3D TLC, PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe 1.4, 5 years warranty, decent looking power efficiency for what it does, fits in a 2230 slot.

This is R2 which is better than R1 and I recently purchased it to upgrade my surface pro 8. Very happy with the upgrade.

    • Thanks, I was going mad looking at reviews and names of these worrying I had put up an older shittier model somehow haha.

This is a super edge case, but for any photographers that shoot with a CFExpress Type B, you can place this SSD in a CFExpress Type B converter and use it in your camera as though it were a normal CFExpress Type B card. Mine shoots 20fps / 4k / 8k video recording without any issues. Probably not ideal for pro grade work, but for pro-am or hobby grade, it's a cheap alternative to something like Delkin Devices or ProGrade.

The photographs world still using SD card is just baffling

    • Can you please recommend a case/adapter that you've used?

      • I personally used the gold Zitay one, which I bought from Amazon, but I don't think it's available any more. For price reference, I remember paying around $35 about 15 months ago for the adapter. I also bought some thermal paste and applied that when I put the SSD in the adapter, which was around $9.

    Overkill for steamdeck?

Wait for the WD Ali express ~$155 deals to come back?

      Thats what I'm waiting for…

  • Has anyone found a good compact 2230 enclosure to pair with this, or pair with the smaller 512GB 2230 I’ll take out of my ROG when I buy this.
