        • i think you just need to create a new optus account. basically use a another email to create if you already have an optus account? anyone can correct ?

      • That's cheap regardless of 5G or not! Thanks. Tempted to get myself off this Kogan Mobile rubbish with that deal.

Thought I'd provide my 2C. Im currently using OnePass Mobile, it worked fine while in Australia, even tho as others have mentioned the app interface is poor.

However their international calls, text and data roaming for international travel has been terrible and barely works. I am currently travelling and needed to still receive calls and texts on my main phone number, so this has caused me a big headache. Never had this issue using other providers like Boost, Amaysim etc

Support has been really poor and there is this annoying feature where if you dont respond after 3 mins (even if troubleshooting) it will disconnect you from the chat and you need to start over. My issue has been esclated to level 2 support and they said they would urgently email me, this was 5 days ago and Ive received nothing.

Sometimes you get what you pay for I suppose, and personally in future I'll pay a bit more to go with Boost.

  • at what point do telcos realize it's unreasonable to still not offer 5g as standard. you're already limiting the total data, just give the speed that the network supports.

  • Am on an existing OnePass mobile plan which expires in 2 days. Anyone know if it would be considered a new service if I port my number out to my Kogan eSIM for a few days and then back in to OnePass mobile as a new plan?

    • I'm wondering about that too what new service means. I have the promo apparently.

  • Can i port my number from Amaysim ( who use optus Network) over or do i need to port to a non-optus net work provider first to be consider as new customer?

    • Yes u can.

      • Thanks, porting took less than 5 mins

  • Would I still be considered as a new customer if I transfer from catch mobile?

    • Catch mobile is OnePass mobile now. I got a message to update my catch mobile app and it was changed to OnePass so you are already with OnePass

    • I just bought 300Gb $159 plan that cost me around $143. $10 back with Commonwealth bank yello, created a new Kogan account to get $5 discount on first order and $2 something cashback with cashrewards

  • How quickly do the they post the SIM pack? Anyone?
