Ive noticed in the last few months no AAA batteries at the Sydney Store. Now I see that the AA’s have also gone and when you search for LADDA on the Ikea site all you get is the chargers. Does anyone know anything about these or weather they are to release a new version ?
Where to purchase IKEA LADDA Rechargeable Batteries?

I remember calling up the CBR store sometime in early 2024.. I was having trouble finding AA batteries. The person I spoke to mentioned that at that time they were getting very sporadic shipments of them.
I eventually got a few packs of them a few months later, but maybe the supply issues haven't completely resolved yet?
AAA has been out of stock at the Springvale for about 6 months
no they are OOS everywhere last time I C&C'ed.
people probably kept using the current Free C&C period to just order batteries and pick them up.
after out of stock they got sick of it and not restocking. they want people to buy the furniture.
Are people still buying new high-power devices with AA/AAA?
Everything I have seems to be moving to Li-ion now.Everything I have seems to be moving to Li-ion now.
yeah same prefer USB-C with lithium ion battery.
but there are things that you still need AA for. I have a Braun Clock/temperature/humidity station that lasts 6-8 months on AA.
also a few remotes and similar things that take AAA.reason I moved to Ladda's (Panasonic rechargeable) is every single alkaline I ever used has leaked on me. I searched online for this seemed to be less of a problem in the past. but for some reason alkaline build quality is terrible right now.
Bike lights. When my lights die out on a long ride I want to be able to replace them.
For really basic things likse motion sensor lights, I kinda prefer AA/AAA rechargeables - especially since I have so many of them
I like AAA for Zigbee motion sensors, but they should last for years on one pair of alkaline.
But the battery powered lights for cupboards etc came with built-in li-ion.things likse motion sensor lights,
aw yeah thanks for reminding me.
I use for Xiaomi motion sensor lights too. they are great last a year between charges on the low setting.
which reminds me I should charge the AA's soon.
I prefer the opposite.
Hate when otherwise perfectly fine devices stop being useful because the internal non-(easily)-replaceable battery no longer holds charge. Especially when said device's form factor would otherwise have no issues accommodating 3x AA's either.
Did I indicate a preference?
Better yet, an easily replaceable li-Ion would be good.
Even with mobile phones, that used to be normal.
I wanted to buy some AAA Ladda batteries for remote controls. If stock doesn't come in I may have to buy Eneloops again.
for AA last time I checked Panasonic wants 4x the amount for a 4 pack.
which is why I wanted to add a 4 pack of Ladda to my ikea order but no stock.
Same.. Been out of stock for months, I gave up and coughed up for some panasonic eneloops. Costly but decent.
Yep noticed the same
Went to ikea, zero in stock
No longer listed on the website 🤷♂️
Dam i was gonna buy some later this year.
to see them gone is a big big disappointment
Oh well back to Enloops I guess. I haven’t seen anyone posting about these with the recent amazon sale, lets hope for a deal in the near future. My use case is for some Zigbee smart sensors that I have.
I haven’t seen anyone posting about these with the recent amazon sale,
yeah because price won't come down since covid.
I remember Eneloop Pro AA 8 pack was around $30 something posted regularly (was still more than Ladda 2450, but I don't live near ikea so). now the 4 pack is that price.
4 pack used to be like $18 S&S I think.
I had received a message that they weren't going to stock them in Springvale and now see that they have removed them from the site, maybe they want to introduce newer batteries in the future, idk, they still sell the chargers, which is weird without batteries to charge them
Merged from IKEA Ladda Batteries Are They Still Available?
I was looking for some rechargeable batteries and can't seem them on the site? Do they still sell them?
Can't you ring IKEA ?
they disappear for long time.
Ok yes Murkymerv you are probably right - thought others would be interested as well as the seem to be popular.
I contacted the online chat they said they are coming back in stock 01/07.Being the change you want to see in the world!
Thanks for the update, I've been waiting to buy some.Did they sell out immediately? Nothing on the website atm.
This post was like an echo……No one knows how to use search.
No, they have not been available for some time now.
I "spoke" with IKEA on chat today to ask about the batteries (weird how they are selling chargers but not batteries". The response I got (specific for Sydney but likely applicable countrywide) was:
"The dates for re-stocking keeps getting shifted, so unable to say for certain when Sydney stores will get stock. The batteries are not discontinued. Just seems to be taking a very long time to get into the country."
Heh. I haven't seen AAAs at Tempe Ikea for a few years now. Doubt they will come back. I very rarely used the AAAs. The TÅGVIRKE lamp is the only thing I regularly use AAs in now (other than sporadic random flashlights, but I have enough old Ladda and Eneloops to keeps me going).
I ended up just buying some AAAs of Amazon recently to cover me.
No idea, but I’ve noticed this too so I hope they’re back soon.
