Is the latency and buffering instant?
They have the BE550 Pro for $10 more. Other than the 10g port are they identical?
Major differences look like the 10G port, and the pro supports wifi7 on 2.4ghz as well as 5ghz and 6ghz.
Just throw the extra $10 in and get the pro - there doesn't seem to be much downside - apart from maybe a bit of extra power usage if you use the 10G port.
The 10G port looks like it can be used for either WAN or LAN, so would be useful for connection to a NAS or switch so you can stream your linux ISOs even faster.
i almost bought a tp-link router but they use a paid for subscription based plan called homeshield for parental controls and even for basic security features like ddos protection where other brands of routers like asus offer everything for free

I will post this here. Decision is upto you guys. All manufacturers have issues but even Asus has updated firmwares to fix recent issues.
TP link is renowned for the wrong reasons, hackable.
Had mine about 6 months and zero problems so far, WiFi range is good for a 4 bed house.
