I think they changed haptic engine twice. first was when they made the home button unclickable, then I think haptic engine 2 or something came out on the latest iphone.

apple seems so proud of it they included it in the theme for their WWDC yesterday.
(whine incoming 🥴- ok I will include my thoughts about WWDC summary here: yeah lets make everything transparent so you can't see apps clearly! also dislike the glass design in normal mode too, but like all OS update we will probably develop tolerance to it and it will just becomes the new normal. I have an iPad so the ipad part irked me the most. NO STOP trying to merge and make Mac and iPad the same experience!! make people take the extra 1 second to find app on home screen, limit it to full screen for each app. now they are saying they are going to allow you to put your app window everywhere with a gesture, and have multiple windows wherever you want. NO that's not what a tablet should be like, except maybe the largest 13 inch models)
I miss when some random swipe on iPad wouldn't go into split window mode, and holding on something wouldn't "pick it up" and when you don't realise it's happening it "drops" it somewhere else. Files app ok that can be handy, but everything else has made the iPad experience clumsy and worse imo since iOS 15 or whatever. now we have a Mac experience on iPad even with a task bar at the top with "File, Edit, View" etc smh..
ok back to F1. um yeah it has a similar energy to Top Gun: Maverick imo. which I loved. can't wait. 🤣
