    I know they're supposed to be good, but $620 from $800 is still a bit hard to believe. I think you can push another $200 off that.

    Honestly at those prices, would be much better off getting a reputable Japanese brand like Tiger or Zojirushi.

          Pretty happy with it got to say. It’s Chinese made yes but as my Japanese friend says unless you’re buying the most premium sushi rice and cooking it once or more per day, you can’t justify Zojirushi.

          Minor gripe is power cord comes out one side and is fairly short so I can’t put it in my ideal placement.

              @rewstar: Oh damn, nice price. Yeah get that. It looks even better in person.

              Cord comes out the right side and is approximately 80cm long. I needed it on the left and maybe 1m so I don't have to unplug the toaster every time I use it.

              EDIT: Amazon receipt said I paid $199.99, and would have paid in gift cards too so take another 3% off that.

      Got something against reputable Korean brands?
      If you are buying official Aus Zojirushi, then you are paying a hell of a lot more, nearly twice as much for comparable models.
      If you are importing form Japan, then you need a transfer to deal with their odd electrical requirements.

        Just speaking from personal experience, had a cuckoo that broke down and had a horrible experience trying to return and troubleshoot it.

        Meanwhile folk's Tiger has been going strong for 15 years + and our Zojirushi makes delicious rice. We eat rice everyday so we can justify it.

        Would much prefer to buy once, and know that it'll last rather than go through the hassle of returning it if it breaks.

    Should get this instead, using over 7 years + still going strong. Using the turbo mode can cooked 5-7 cup fluffy rice in under 15mins.
