On sale for 699 with no monitor recycle or code.

This product cannot be delivered to a number of postcodes in NSW, QLD, VIC and WA (as well as all of TAS and NT).

Samsung will pricematch scorptec anyway. then can you use the other discounts?

    • +1

I asked for a price match initially and they confirmed they would not price match Scorptech.

I stand corrected. poor form by Samsung

        • Agreed.

Mmmmmm. Speedy 4K. (maybe mention 4K/UHD in the listing cuz that's the thing I went to check)

    • +2

Had it in the tags but added it to the title for clarity, thanks.

  • Wow. Damn. This is a good display. I was looking everywhere for a 120Hz+ monitor with an ethernet port not long ago and ended up with a Dell UltraSharp U2725QE. Maybe the Dell is a better professional monitor with 3000:1 contrast ratio and Thunderbolt 4, but I'm sure the Samsung is a better gaming monitor. Awesome bedroom gaming screen.

    • Interesting that it has inbuilt 4K AI upscaling. Not sure how much latency that adds, but it's listed for gaming.

Pretty sure this is what my son uses as his secondary/discord display. Not a bad screen but, sadly, not an OLED.
Edit: Nope, he has the Neo G7 32" with the mini-led VA panel 165hz

  • $599/$549 for 27" too (only $200 off RRP vs $300 off)

  • I have an old 40inch FullHD Samsung TV, can I trade in that? It’s a monitor!

It works but it has a few busted ports from kids plugging things in roughly. Seems like a cheap way to dump it.

    • there's a little questionnaire you fill out when selecting the deal, but so long as it still works and doesn't have any noticeable cracks/damage (regular wear and tear is fine) then it should be eligible.

Did something similar when i bought a TV earlier this year and got rid of my old one and they just took it and left the new TV. Didn't need to prove that it was working, just have it ready for them. Delivery guys were in and out in under a minute probably.

  • Link to Scorptec $599 deal? I had a look and it seems to be $699 just like Samsung but no free delivery?

    • +1

My mistake, Scorptec 599 deal appears to be for the 27 inch version, while the 32 inch is 699 as you said. Does make the Samsung deal even better though.

  • How do ppl connect these monitors to desktop speakers without a 3.5mm aux port?

  • I was able to pick up an ex-demo M32U off PLE Computers for $613 with delivery and it looks amazing whatever I throw at it. If you can pick up either a M32U/UP secondhand for cheaper or a LG32GR93U for cheaper both are very good monitors from the numerous reviews I looked at whilst deciding on my monitor

    • The Gigabyte M32UP is the updated model of the M32U. Both are great monitors but sadly the M32UP seems to be out of stock for months now. I have been checking but the price is crazy around $900 delivered. The LG 32GR93U is a bit cheaper but huge number of panel failures for the 27/32 inch models.

The Samsung linked in the OP's deal didn't do spectacular in the rtings review.

I am on the hunt for a 32 inch 4k hdmi 2.1 monitor as well.

If you are comfortable with going second hand I’ve seen a couple m32u listings on fb marketplace for cheap.

Otherwise yeah I was stuck in your position for a while. Although the LG did come down to $679 for a little while so if you can wait longer/go second hand you can definitely get a deal.

Or you could if you really don’t want to wait or don’t want to buy second hand I don’t recommend getting that m32up at $900 unless you really need IPS, i would just spend $300 more and get an OLED/mini LED

        • Yeah i have been searching for a while now. It seems that in Australia 32 inch 4k hdmi 2.1 monitors are not available for sub $500. They are very very expensive.

The Gigabyte M32up is one of the best budget ones but the price is a ridiculous $900. lol

The LG 32Gr93u i did see that one time for $679 but again the panel has huge failure issues. So i am hesitant to buy that model.

The Dell G3223Q is sub $500 but only refurbished if they ever bring it back again.

The Samsung G70D is a new model and the cheapest but average review for it.

Other than that there isn't much available. You probably right on saving more money to buy an OLED or mini LED but of course they cost a lot more.

          • @Monty1089: If it helps a youtube channel called Monitors Unboxed is aussie and did a review on the M32UP and says it is worth the price even at $900AUD. In my opinion it would be a slight stretch but the $800 mark definitely seems reasonable as the UP edition gets some small upgrades like HDMI-CEC which I do miss on my M32U. Also a better 165hz refresh rate and no DSC required 4k 144hz.

Also you do have manufacturer warranty for new products so you could go that route if any issues arise with the LG but it is fair enough if you don't want to I also didn't want to. It is also rated ever so slightly higher than the M32UP but it didn't have USB C or built in speakers so I didn't opt for it.

But all in all yeah I do sympathize with you. If I hadn't found that one listing then I probably would've been stuck right now as well. IMO best thing for you is to go second hand as you'll save big $$$

@ThatNintendoKid: Yes I have been watching his Youtube videos lol. He has been a great help. The only criticism is he really caters for the American market even though he lives here in Australia. But good content.

I am still keeping my eye out on the Gigabyte M32UP to come back in stock but at a more reasonable price. I have ruled out the LG monitor. I don't want to risk it even with warranty. The Samsung G70D is still an option for me if it comes to around the $500 mark.

But I don't want to purchase second hand because you don't know the issues with a monitor with someone else using it. I can buy refurbished though because places like Samsung, Dell let you return for free which is great.

  • VS Dell G3223Q?

Appears to be similar other than G70D is IPS and G3223Q is VA?

    • G3223Q is IPS.

      • Oh ya! You're right. Sorry for the miss.

  • I bought this with the 990 Pro SSD bundle and I like it. Came from the SDGF QHD 165Hz Dell that was the OzB favourite for many years.

Note I thought it had backlight bleed when I first got it, but turns out it was just the poorer viewing angles compared to my VA Smart Monitor. Viewing it dead-on, no issue.

  • The samsung os or whatever it is called on this is so bad that my next monitor is definitely not going to be a samsung. The extend to which they try to shove it down your throat is also incredibly frustrating.

  • Geez, paid $1k 3 months ago. Didn't want OLED nor flat screen. Use it for work and my XSX.

The software isn't the best and not a fan of the remote. Why would you not include a source button??? Have to press the home button and go through the menu to select a different source. I bought a small remote just to be able to change the source quickly or use my old casio remote control watch.

I did have an issue where the screen would blank out for 2 seconds. Improved with a shorter hdmi 2.1 cable. Though it seems to happen with VRR on. Haven't had the issue since the last update.

Overall, great monitor. Especially for hooking up a console.

    • I do get the 2 second blackouts and tried DP 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 cables as well. What updates are you referring to?

  • Hey everyone,

I’ve been thinking about upgrading my current screen (DELL S2721QS), and this looks pretty solid on paper. It checks all the boxes I’m looking for, larger size, higher refresh rate, and IPS panel. But, I noticed the post only has about 13 likes, so now I’m wondering… is the price actually not that great? Or are there better options out there with similar specs?

I don’t know too much about monitors, so I’d really appreciate any guidance or suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I'm much the same, upgrading from a 27" QHD. The G3223Q seems to have gone, the best price of that on sale seemed to be about $500, this with trade in and chat discount is about $530. I don't think this is as good as that, but the rtings review seemed fine. I don't really game much, mainly getting it for productivity. So we'll see how we go! I do agree the 14 likes is weird, but I haven't seen any better value for money recently for 32" 4K IPS with USB if you don't care too much about the image.

Got this couple weeks ago. Overall good, like the 120Hz, I think it improves the experience even for day to day computing.
The main thing that I dislike is the way a lot of these panels are built and it seems to much more common across brands these days due to the thin bezel. It's hard to explain but when looking at the far right/left edges of the screen when positioned centrally it has this weird effect where you effectively lose a slither of your picture. If you look at the edge straight on the effect goes away. The result is that ~1mm of content can be lost either side. There doesn't seem to be a lot of talk about this phenomenon but I noticed it and it irked me but it's not really a big deal. Best discussion I found was: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/ojipn2/hey_guys_n…

https://imgur.com/zMlTaoZ (looked at straight at the corner/edge)
https://imgur.com/PmaQ8fv (looked at from the center of the screen, so at a similar angle to your picture above, goodbye "T")

People have said they have seen this on Dells, Lgs etc so not specific to Samsung but this is pretty common across many of the current model Samsungs (also checked a 27" I had). Just annoying as I've never seen this before on any LCD monitors i've ever had. Maybe I'm pedantic and most people don't notice.
