      I don't, but espresso machines should be about 9 bar give or take - 20 bar is the full pump pressure. Excess pressure causes channelling and poor quality espresso. It'll be difficult to get a good quality, consistent espresso from this machine.

      • On that topic - many manufactures have a pressure gate that stops at 12bar, and therefore inhibits the water passing through above this pressure. It's also a safety issue for a blocked group head (or when putting in a cleaning blind to the head). This is not the first product to proudly market a "over pressure pump" - I've seen 16, 18 and 20bar pumps advertised.

        You're correct that 9 is optimal. You're probably also correct that it's hard to get consistent espresso, but that's not because of being over pressured all the time and more to do with the tolerances.
