Warning: after your free trial ends, if you try to check something there afterwards it may automatically put you back on a plan and then automatically upgrade you to the highest tier. It happened to me once so be careful.

    • Thanks for sharing this. TBH I'm a loyal fan of youtube music

      • Amazon was my favourite of all the free trials but this ruined the chances of me ever paying for it on purpose so im a spotify guy now

  • Thanks OP. Got four months free.

  • Any idea when the offer closes?

  • Nice, thanks, got my 4 months free. Won't keep it permanently though as I already use Tidal and Amazon Music doesn't expose their API, so it isn't supported by many devices as Tidal and Spotify is. It's mostly useful for the kids to be able to request songs by voice.

  • Did a search of old "Welcome to Amazon Music" emails. Have a few old Amazon accounts.
Found 2019 email. Opened that Amazon account. Clicked Deal link.
    Received 4 months free music🎉

  • I signed up for a trial a week ago, but integration with Google Assistant and Google speakers is very poor. If you make a request, the response takes forever or sometimes doesn't come at all. When asking a Google speaker (any speaker with Google assistant) to play music from Amazon, the last ~7 seconds of every song are played at a very low volume, such that it sounds as if each song is cut off before the end. It's a known issue that many people have. Reporting it was painful, and I had no hope they'd fix it. Only upside to Amazon music: the sound quality is more crisp and detailed than Google Music, which makes me double disappointed that I can't stick with it.

  • What's better for music ???

    Amazon, Apple, Youtube or Spotify?

Is there much overlap in the songs/artists between the services?
    (Especially for Mongolian Throat Singing…)

  • Not sure if anyone having this issue, but on the Echo device, Amazon made it so easy to subscribed to pay music..it's very annoying, no password or verification method, if you have kids, it will happen.

    • +1

I highly suggest anyone to use a virtual card like Wise or disposable Revolut virtual card for online transactions especially subscription services. Just disable or change to a new virtual card after use the virtual card.

  • Thanks OP. I got this in another account that never use Amazon Music.

  • I have an Amazon account and had previously subscribed to Amazon Music, but am now just using the free/limited account. I clicked on the link above which takes you to the Amazon Music page. I then clicked on the button to subscribe, expecting the next screen to be a confirmation screen (select plan, payment method, or just a confirmation).

    BE WARNED:

    1. There was no confirmation screen, the one click subscribes you.
    2. I did not get the discount, but paid full price.
    3. Immediately cancelling did not undo anything but cancels the auto renew. I still have a month of listening, paid for, no refund.

So for me, no discount and a months subscription at full price.

    • You can chat customer service and ask for refund. Just say that you saw free trial for Amazon Music but got charged. The customer service will cancel the Amazon Music service soon and you'll get the email.
