Historical low price for this very lightweight AI-enabled ultrabook from HP, the 6-core CPU with NPU is an early 2025 release from January and this seems to be one of the cheapest laptops you can get with Krackan Point APU.

The OmniBook 7 Aero is designed for maximum portability, with a 13.3-inch 1920×1200 screen and 2.2-pound / 990g weight. The AMD Ryzen AI 5 340 is a 6-core processor with an integrated NPU—not the fastest on the market but almost sure to run circles around any laptop from three or four years ago. This model also comes with 16GB of RAM (the lowest I’d go for Windows 11) and 512GB of storage.
I got a chance to check out this laptop in person earlier this year. As small and light as it is, the laptop has a decent spread of ports, too: double USB-A, double USB-C, and full-sized HDMI, so you can leave the dongle at home. With AMD’s integrated graphics, it should handle medium-duty gaming well enough, too.
The only thing I’m not super enamored with on the spec sheet is the battery, which is only 43 watt-hours. While HP says that’ll last you 12 hours and change with mixed use, I’m not so sure. But considering the savings on this deal, I think that’s an acceptable compromise.
From the Hindustan Times
With so much power being delivered when needed, it is creditable that the HP OmniBook 7 Aero, fully charged as we began a workday, still ends up with about 40% charge remaining at the end of the day. That would translate to close to 13 hours of battery life on a single charge, with some care regarding screen brightness and apps running in the background. For a compact laptop, this may not be the highest numbers ever (the MacBook Air, and indeed some of Qualcomm’s new chips deliver much more), but still good enough to conveniently leave the power adapter behind. And you will certainly want to do that, because unlike Apple and even Asus, HP has still clung to a bulky brick that can only be classified as antiquated.
I'm more of a Lenovo fanboy, and Thinkpads are generally more well built, so I'll give this a pass, however the new-generation Thinkpad X13's are extremely pricey at $1800~$2000.. So let me know if you find a good deal on a X13.
