Which gift cards
Do you know any discounted gift cards going at the moment? Perks discount ends tomorrow so will need to act fast.
Check out freepoints.com.au. There is 20X Woolies points for some cards that are accepted at JB
64GB nice
Thanks
Ngl tcl is absolutely hitting it out of the ballpark with their panels and pricing
G9t the 85" C7k and absolutely loving it.
I have a 2024 version. Sound is awesome. It has a real subwoofer which makes a difference and don't use soundbar anymore. 3 years warranty. Very happy.
Cant get it delivered apparently. Might be oos not sure. Tried a few addresses.
I believe it is the same price at Harvey Norman As well
Oh it is too. Cheers
How does this one compare to this $1079.40 https://www.samsung.com/au/multistore/samsung_affiliates_au/… apart from price and Oled vs Qled
So, like, totally different TVs then.
is the LG C5 worth the extra $?
For double the price? Only you can make that call mate.
If the room is bright, go the TCL.
It ain't double the price, has the same sale and perks deal combo right now. I was cheeky and price matched first so got C5 77" for $2900
Nothing comes close to an OLED in terms of picture quality. But when you consider price, image retention issues, max brightness… then there are choices and alternatives.
Thanks all. Coming from an 8 year old hisense my missus bought so anything is an upgrade!
Went with the c7k at 1359$ from jbhifi, couldn't find $340 worth of "extra" tv.
Did you get the 65” for $1359? Can’t find it that cheap
Price matched https://www.appliancecentral.com.au/65c7k-tcl-65-inch-premiu… and then with the perks. IDK how it comes out to 1359 (it should be lower) but I wasn't too bothered.
Edit: I guess I just got scammed by JB, no price match oof.
Do what i did, ping the good guys online chat and price match/beat appliance central + got their 5 years gold service care and delivery for $2800 for the C8K 75" model. It arrived yesterday and it has been phenomenal. Very happy with it.
Felt like that last year looking at C755 vs C855. To my eye the C855 just looked a bit brighter slightly.
How is this for the F1 and UFC, would be the only thing I'd use it for. No tv currently in the lounge lol.
Literally just upped the budget to get 65inch C7K (~$1400) over the C6K @ ~$1100. I haven't even picked it up yet…
Now I see this and want more.
But at some point it's not worth the small bumps and I'd just go straight to OLED.
C7K is definitely worth the extra $ over C6K IMO. Go in store and check it out side by side.
This helps with my confirmation bias. Thanks.
Agreed when I went in store.
Thanks OP bought because I needed a budget friendly tv to replace my 8 year old Hisense lcd same tech I know but better
Is the 75" with perks considered a good price?
I want to know the same too :)
I think it's reasonable but you could possibly get cheaper in later sales judging by C855 deals last year. I think that got down to $2K?
Unless you can pull off price match Retravision and then apply perks 15% (has to be done over phone or in store), then definitely do this.
Retravision now out of stock otherwise could have price matched and applied 15% coupon on top. Would have been amazing!
Coupon didn't work on a price matched cart when I tried before.
@Broomstick: I just asked in-store and the lady said her previous customer tried that and the system reverted the price back to a higher one when the coupon was applied. She reckons corporate might have caught onto that and closed the loophole?
@Kibbelhs: When I went in store had their own coupon they used which worked when mine didn't. They have a special one they can just use for all customers and doesn't t used up, seems to override the validation rules too.
@Broomstick I am in WA and they had no stock when I did price match, the guy didn't give a shit and did it for me anyway, you gotta get the right salesperson.
Yes it is at 2300! It may go down closer to 2000 in November but that's a long time to wait.
I had this set delivered a week ago. The rear sub vibrates the back cover badly even at low volumes. TCL Service were ghastly to deal with (no point sending me scripts to folow when they don't apply to this 2025MY set) and their nominated service agent isn't convinced they can fix it. Not happy Jan.
Same price at Retravision. May be able to get 5% off for RAC members.
I have such bad timing and I need to hand in my OzB licence. Bought a 98C855 for $4999 exactly a week before this JB Perks sale on the 98C8K for $5946.
5000 vs 3500 nits. 3840 vs 2160 dimming zones. WHVA vs standard VA panel tech. 4 vs 2 x HDMI 2.1 ports. Don't make the same mistake I did!
for brighter rooms is mini led better than OLED vs qled??
Yes.
Just bought one of these using the 15% perks voucher, unfortunately it was cancelled minutes later as it failed the 'verification process'. Looks like potentially using my VPN (Nord) at the time of purchase may of caused this, unfortunately I didn't get my 15% voucher back so I can't just re-order this, hopefully when their verification team finally respond to the email they will honour the order price as the voucher would have expired by then.
HN doing the same price with 15% off. Try them.
thanks for the tip, just got the order through with them
Glad to help! Enjoy your screen!
Make sure name on card and addess watch exactly. Seems others have issues, haven't ordered myself.
Yeah looking at the list of reasons on their email using a VPN was one I do check but also may have been name on card not matching, I put full first and second name not first initial. Anyway II got one through harvey norman, I think I would of ran out of time with JB they didnt reimburse the coupon and all correspondence for this is via email only which is slow
anyone has a working price matched cart + 15% off?
The wouldnt do the 15% off after price match online for me, but Perks voucher worked IN STORE after price match.
Made out like a bandit!!!
Got the TCL 75C8K price matched to $2,375 from Retravision, then got the 15% off as a perks member for a total of $2,018.75.
JB Hi-Fi also having a promo right now where $1K spend gets you a $150 gift card.
Extremely chuffed with this.
exactly what I am thinking.
How does it all work? you get someone on floor to price match, go to the desk and ask them to apply the code?
Also can you post a screenshot.
Absolute champion. Thanks mate.
$2077.75 with delivery.
TCL 75" c8k.
Gepps cross Adelaide.
Had to check with a manager twice. Once for the retravison match. Once for the 15%.
Very happy.
@BarginBrah: lucky you.
i was at JB Gepps Cross this afternoon. They refuse to price match the LG C5 model.
How did you get the gift card promo? Did it just automatically apply?
I bought in store. They had signs literally next to every TV.
Where did you see the gift cards promo? It wasn't in the store or on their website
I'm in Cairns and I bought in store. They literally had signs next to every TV. Surely that wouldn't have been a local or state only thing?
Nothing in Adelaide, but I might be cheeky and message them on chat.
@BarginBrah: I got a separate "receipt" for the gift card which I didn't really notice / do anything with. When I get home I'll take a pic of that and see if there's anything on it that might help.
Just copying as it's own comment for more to see.
$2077.75 with delivery.
TCL 75" c8k.
Gepps cross Adelaide.
Had to check with a manager twice. Once for the retravison match. Once for the 15%.
Very happy.
Got it for $2065.50
PM with Retravision to $2375 + 55 Delivery due to OOS in WA, then with 15% perk.
I imagine it'll be BF the next time it gets to that price.
98 inch under 4 grand please 🥺
I got the 85" for $3200 (ticket price $4000 right now) from JB on Thu before the 15% perks code although it had to be bundled with delivery $59 and wall mount install $300, so total $3558 - just incase it helps anyone else
Tried to get 15% code added on live chat today but they said need to go instore for instore sales and cbf
I got the 85” for $2894.60 delivered with the 15% off. Person on phone was pretty easy with price matching retravision. Mine just got delivered today.
Must be a sales tactic to price the installation.
Did you guys pay for the install service as well? The guy in my store says even for the tabletop its better to get them to do it because if it broke they will cover it.
My last tv was 40inch so I managed that easily but not sure about this one if the guy is trying to con me or not
I wouldnt pay for 'install' if you already have another person to help, just be careful and wrap a blanket around it or similar when picking it up. its a con in the sense that its overpriced for what it is compared to airtasker, and I say that as someone whos getting it wallmounted. on the other hand the guy in my store would only sell it to me at the price offered if it came bundled with the delivery/install as a package. but what your guy said just sounds like salesy bs tbh
Insisting on installation being bundled is salesy bs
Could be:
-Salesman gets a spiv (payment) for installation. Similar to warranties. That's why salesmen always push for installation/warranty
-Price may be low profit %. They need things bundled to increase their profit %. That's why salesman always push for cables/powerboards/etc because they have huge profit margins
Wow 75" is not a bad option too with the perk as well as gift card combos.
