  • I bought this two weeks ago and have yet to use it. What are some of everyone's favourite recipes?

I use it for protein ice cream after working out. My base is 1.5 cups fitmilk (lite if you care about calories), vanilla protein, collagen powder, a teaspoon or vanilla pudding mix, whisked up with a milk frother. From there you can do a bunch of stuff - add chopped up fruit with the Mix-in option, add custard powder to the base recipe for nice vanilla custard tasting ice cream, etc. Generally speaking it makes a pint of ice cream for around 31-350 calories.

This guy has a bunch of cool recipes I'm gonna try soon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIK6zzjEc_Q

      • Do you have any links to high protein low cal recipes specific to the Deluxe model? Most of these are for the standard. I just wasn't sure whether I do the full, top or bottom. And with regards to how much I should fill it up to, should I fill it up to the max scoop option. And if so once the whole process is done, I probably can't eat the whole thing in one go so do I need to repeat the process again the next day?

What was plastic saving issue users ara talking about?

  • Also good use for those who got 30 off 100 spend coupon

  • For the elite experienced users out there, after buying (costs) all the needed ingredients, is it really worth it in the end or just be better off (budget wise) getting ready-made ice cream? If so what is the point of getting this?

Listing of pros n cons would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you're looking to save money buying ice cream, you'd probably have to be buying pretty expensive ice cream pretty regularly to make it make sense. The value here is for fun and making your own flavours that you can't regularly buy from the store, or making your own ice cream that works around dietary limitations. If you're happy with the store bought ice cream and it's not burning a hole in your pocket, you're probably fine. If you like ice cream and want to try turning everything into ice cream, this might be fun

    • I think it's worth it if you're really after ice-cream with specific needs - eg: dairy-free, high protein, vegan
And it's fun to get creative sometimes with weird mixes and combinations. My family certainly likes making mixes to hit their specific nutritional goals (low calorie and high protein). It's also great for the kids when making clean low-sugar/no-sugar ice-creams, that they themselves can make.

Ingredients are as expensive or cheap as you make it. It's pretty easy to make something nice and cheap.

But as someone who loves normal plain cheapy vanilla and just needs an ice-cream fix one in a while, I don't think it's worth it for myself personally.

The value of it really depends what type of ice-cream consumer you are lol

    • You can make whatever you want like protein ice creams etc. Dunno how long the interest lasts. Like in my case, the soda maker never gets used nowadays. Will let others comment.

Bought it on Amazon Business with the 30% off offer for $187.

    • Same. Added 2 extra pints. Total $220.
Tried yesterday and we all loved it. It was good.

  • Amazing deal with the amazon 30% off but got put off with the plastic shaving issue

    • Thinking about the same issue.
Blaming the incorrect use is not the right tone.
If someone reckless that is a user issue.
This one is completely a design flaw.
Users are finding a way to overcome the design flaw.

  • Someone mentioned in other post that if it is leveled then there is no shaving. I checked the pint afterward and found no scratches or shaving.
