decent deal, as they have fixed a number of issues from V1 with this V2 iteration.

Since this is the 8 colour kit, the correct image is this one which shows 2x ACE Pro units

    • Given they are trying to charge $469 for one of these units, offering 2 units plus a 3D printer for $609 tells us there's rip-off pricing somewhere!

BTW, I have the Kobra2 Pro from the last deal, and am happy with it. Had a couple of failed prints, but over-all happy, given the stonking good deal at the time.

  • how is this comp[are to the Bambo A1 combo

    • +2

a lot of the competitors are slowly catching up.

V1 was released last year so they have fixed a number of issues with V2.

These can take more than one 'AMS' unit to get 8 colour.
ACE Pro is also more on par with AMS 2 since it is also a dryer.

      Pretty good value

      • Worth paying $1239 for the P1S AMS 2 Pro Combo / with Buffer?

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/911693

        • +1

was thinking the same thing, but for half the price and with 8 colour printing (im assuming its 2x ams), its a difficult decision.

        • +1

Can't go wrong with the P1S AMS2 Pro for $1239, a very solid machine.
          - Core XY & enclosed
          - Bambu community/makerlab

You really need to consider what you would do with 8 colour printing, the purge waste would be extreme, especially if you did 8 colour changes on a single layer.

          • +1

@3dprintdeals: yea that makes sense. and it seems like the resale market for bambu lab printers are a tad better too i guess. I sold my p1p surprisingly quick and in hopes to buy the p1s with the am2 pro since buying an enclosure kit and am2 was already so expensive.

            • @ilikeverycheapstuff: just in time for the anniversary sale then

            • @ilikeverycheapstuff: If you don't mind me asking, around how much did you get for the p1p?

I bought the P1S thinking the same because the current H2D price is too much. Would probably sell it and upgrade if H2D comes down In price (might be a hard sell without the AMS though)

          • @3dprintdeals: I wouldn't mind it for the ease of use of having a bunch of materials and colours loaded and ready to go and having them dry, even if I'm mostly doing single colour and some 2-3 colour prints.

I mostly use the AMS in my A1 like that, pick a colour / material and its ready to go.

    • +1

Get the Anycubic Kobra S1 combo, much better value if you aren't concerned with 8 colours

  • +1

I got a S1 Combo with the ACE Pro and wanted to get a second ACE Pro, but they want $469 for the ACE on its own.

  • If you only need 4 colours you can get the Anycubic Kobra 3 V2 Combo for $568.65 with the ebay plus coupon JUNEOFY15

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/395594975754

    • The ACE Pro is quite expensive on its own, so definitely worth the extra $40 for the extra unit

  • How is this for tinker free printing.

    • most modern printers are tinker free.

      • auto level - crucial for clean first layers
      • nozzle purge/clean/prime
      • filament run out
      • cameras
  • I just paid $753 for the s1 combo

    But this seems solid

    • Where did you manage to get that price?

      • +1

        https://ebay.us/m/D0WgMa

With ebays 15% off for members

Was $888 when i purchased it which is i presume some chinease lucky number special

        • it's still $764.15 currently with 'JUNEOFY15' eBay Plus members.

          Otherwise $809.10 with 'JUNEOFY10' for non-members

I would be inclined to go P1S + AMS 1 for $999 with the Bambu Lab anniversary sale though

          • @3dprintdeals: Not a bad price, work runs X1C's which seem 100% reliable (any idiot can use it though your file in and hit print) i may of looked at them more closely but $250 is a fair saving over the P1S.

I think the bambu is the apple of the 3d printer work (may be wrong) every thing just works good out out the box and has a premium attached to it (but sub $1000 p1s is a cracker of a deal)
While other printers are more like androids open source upgradeable and modable and im a fan of that.

wifey will key me if i bought a 3rd printer in under 2 weeks though.

            • @Gros21: yeah, it's only $250 difference due to the Bambu sale. Otherwise it's closer to $500 which is a different price level.

Don't tell my wife I bought this K3 V2 deal then!

              • @3dprintdeals: My partner is happy im tidying up the spare bed room, clearing off the desk, purchased a wardrobe insert (all shelfs wholey for filament) but ive been hiding the boxes of crap that have arrived in the shed. Then ill fit out the spare office fully for dual 3d printers.

If i bought this k2 kit i could use a ACE pro on my S1 (Does need $50 adapter kit) sell the other for $300 then likely sell the printer new in box

              • @3dprintdeals: Fuk bought the k3 v2 deal

                • @Gros21: Yes! who knows how long this pricing conversion will last.

Check out the international price table

                  • @3dprintdeals: Also did you have issues paying it seemed to trigger fraud stuff on my end.

                    • @Gros21: no issue paying on my end. Used paypal

                      • @3dprintdeals: i was the same likely just the work Pc causing issues. The ~30 odd rolls of PLA i ordered the other day arrived (well ist asplit order so alot of it has arrived)

  • think the only thing that could be missed with this is an enclosure - how much would this be missed? i.e. is it essential for certain materials, or just a 'nice-to-have' with a slight penalty to quality? how would you quantify said penalty? e.g. 2/7 failed prints?

    • Enclosure for ASA, ABS, etc but now you're also looking at requirements for ventilation.

  • This or wait for the P1S deal on https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/911693

    • Depends on your needs, can't go wrong with the P1S deal.

This is also a decent printer as it has had a lot of the issues fixed with the V2 release, and delivers a tonne of value with the 2x ACE Pro units.

  • +1

Bought this on preorder for this price.
Was waiting to see if they actually shipped all units for the price before posting on here, I compared to every other country's stores and there is a clear pricing error.

Still waiting for the final ace pro unit to arrive.

    • So you already got shipped the v3 and one ACE Pro but the second one is coming selarately?

      • +1

Yeah, as the printer has one ace pro already packed inside the combo box.

If you order the 8 colour option is comes in 3 deliveries-
        1- Printer and acepro
        2- 8 colour adaptor
        3- ace pro

This isnt explained anywhere until you log into the main anycubic website and go to your orders, tells you what each items status is

        • Now I'm tempted wl with it being a price error 😅

Update: ordered, two sunlu S4 is already $3‐400 so printer for $200

        • How is the print quality?

I almost bought V1 last year but the leaky nozzles put me off.

I see that's a main point they have fixed with the same design as the S1

          • @3dprintdeals: Ive not set it up yet. Setting up this weekend.

I bought the kobra 2 max from the ebay deal earlier this year. That prints okay, mainly got it for prototyping so the finish isnt the most important.

I put the max in an enclosure as its setup in my shed.
Have got one for this machine too.

        • did yours also ship from China?

I thought they would have an AU warehouse

          • @3dprintdeals: Looks like it all came from China as all orders had Auspost shipping labels made at sydney airport, but its hard to tell.

            • @Jphiz: yeah, I just got tracking and it's 4PX from China.

        • I bought the 8 combo kit yesterday and mine doesn't say anything about 3 separate shipments, just 1 shipment sent from china with 4px courier.

  • As stated by @Jphiz, its definitely a pricing mix up. Jump on this deal while you can.

    • Pricing is before $30 coupon
  • Darn ive bought 3 printers in 2 weeks i shouldn't be allowed on here

    • What was the first

      S1, K3 V2 and?

  • Bought a ender 3 v2 se (under $300 tax write off) after a few weeks of umming and aring looking at everything

~week later ebay had the S1 combo was on ebay for $888 with a coupon to get it to $753
That printer hasn't even been opened yet (only arrived yesterday)

Thought id keep a eye on FB try to pick up a bargin to mod into a 3D printer (lecky by trade and electrical engineer)

Then this came up and well ill likely flog off one either the kobra v2 or ender 3

Ive printed a NAS case and a few smaller parts. Apart from me having issues due to my own stupidness its been faultless. Im about finished my 2nd spool.

Then add the nebula kit, $300-500 of parts for first 2 printers, likely 40-50 rolls of filament.

If it helps the case is a modcase MASS premium version.

  • Oh the MASS case is nice.

I've recently just finished two 10" lab rax mini rack builds.

Flog the ender v3 se off.

    • Yea that's what might do, Ill throw up see if I get any interest at $250 with spares and a roll or 2 of filament if I don't I'll keep it.

My mass case is PLA+ as it's all that was available. But the CPU is a 9500t which is low power and due to it being a m920q (lenovo mini PC) I should be able get a extra 140mm fan in there.

I also modded it and changed the mesh parts to a larger honeycomb mesh. Plus it will be living in the spare room which is pretty cool.

      • nice, drop some pics when you can.

I have done all my lab rax in PETG
Also have a 9500t but in the Dell 7070 micro.

I had the V3 SE as well before moving to Bambu A1. Was decent once it was set up, but I did do upgrades to it. Quieter fans, ceramic hot end, PEI bed & running klipper.

        • Yea I scored a nebula kit for it for $60 last weekend, the Lenovo can run a full sized pcie card for a sad or similar.

I'm still awaiting on a few parts for it and I couldn't get correct screws for it locally. But I've done what screws I could (some needed to be smaller headed ones I've ordered)

I've got 2 new hotends a few beds also all on order.

I'm just playing at the moment making tool holders as well as those 2 parts U need to print for the nebula kit.

  • Looks like the pricing has been corrected, great job Anycubic for honouring all of the orders

    Kobra 3 V2 - printer only - $479
    Kobra 3 V2 - 4 Colour Kit + 2kg filament - $639
    Kobra 3 V2 - 8 color Kit - $1053

    ACE Pro - $459

    • My 2nd ace pro has still not been shipped (order status at "unshipped" or "restocking"). Hopefully I still get it.

      • Same just waiting for stock.

        I read someone said August

  • I only just unboxed it and wow the stock mainboard or PSU fan is ridiculously loud.

I'm probably going to try offload it on FB marketplace

Goes to show price isn't everything

    • Mines ran for 200 hours in 3 weeks.
Helped me set-up a new line of business.
The noise doesn't bother me as its in the shed in an enclosure.

How much you want to see it for?

      • Probably similar to what i paid since its now up to normal price.

Waiting for the 2nd Ace pro to arrive

        • Where you located?

  • second ACE Pro unit just arrived.
