Decent price for new enterprise drives, though a bit hesitant about it coming from overseas.

I just received one from Amazon AU, the WD Red Pro from recent deal, it was terrible, OEM package with thin layer of bubble wrap. So far I have installed it and hopefully it won't shat itself.
However, the ones I bought from Amazon US was pretty good, an actual retail box packaging.
Don't buy Toshiba hard drives from overseas, you cannot RMA them.
Need some drive but seems dangerous on Shipping…
Like others have mentioned, I purchased this drive from Amazon in April and was surprised by the lack of packaging—it was barely protected. I’ve received letters with better packaging! Fortunately, the drive has been running fine over the past couple of months. Still, had I known it would be shipped like that, I probably wouldn’t have ordered it.
Just returned 2x 18TB Ironwolf Pros from Centrecom, bubble wrapped in a shoe box
So hard to get a HDD delivered properly these days
Yeah unless its in sealed in proper anti static bags, proper padded packaging like the bulk shipments, dense foam, dense cardboard.
Buy a SSD instead o/s
Buy spindles locally, even if its a few bucks more…a bit hesitant about it coming from overseas.
EVERYTHING comes from overseas!
I've had absolutely terrible HDD packaging from Amazon US before, so I'd generally be prepared to return.
Anyone had experience with Amazon UK HDDs ?
