Should be asleep, posting from bed on mobile. Please fix formatting errors if needed. Title likely butchered.

RRP - $2270

  1. Choose build pc and select upgrade battery to 70wh for $11 (or don't if you want a lighter travel companion). Then add laptop to cart after ignoring other add-ons.

  2. Sign up and apply 5% off welcome discount. (Must be on desktop browser mode). Appears as a little blue popup in cart.

  3. Sign up to Lenovo rewards (should be an option near bottom of cart) to also receive $57 in Lenovo credits.

  4. Track with topcashback for an extra 15% off cashback (all terms and conditions should allow this purchase to track correctly - I'll let you know if mine doesn't track) Only 22 hours left on this promotion from time of posting.

Price after cashback: $1057.82

Cashback expired. Still able to get around 4% back through topcashback.

Checkout was hard on mobile. I had to switch back off desktop mode to complete purchase. Cart price also changed from $1244.50 to $1244.48 for some reason when finalising purchase.

Anyway, seems decent for a OLED 1tb 32gb system with a fat battery. I see no reason not to buy. Good reviews, amd processor and reasonably light.

I am worry about the battery life. This is from Chatgpt, sounds correct? shorter than I expected.

If your laptop can play local 1080p video at 150 nits for 21.4 hours, that's an excellent baseline — but typical student usage differs significantly. Here's a breakdown:
    What Student Usage Looks Like
Light academic work (web browsing, writing, light media):
Expect around 5–7 hours of battery life per charge

Moderate usage (streaming, research, document editing, multi-tab browsing):
Likely 4–6 hours, depending on brightness and background tasks.

Heavy usage (coding, simulation, video editing, multitasking):
Drops to 3–4 hours, sometimes less

  • Confirmation received that cashback has tracked for the OP's deal.

    $186.68 pending.

  • If anyone finds the Lenovo Education store to be less hassle, this old deal is still working. I bought a second one of these for someone at work yesterday. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/908354

It's an amazingly nice thin and light device with relatively large screen, good 16:10 ratio OLED 165hz display that looks excellent, and decent resolution at 2560 x 1600. Less than $2 more than in this post. Oh, not as good as price after cashback though… I might have followed this post if I hadn't already ordered yesterday.

    • What have you been using it for?

      • Well it's kind of a shared laptop for staff at work. I wanted it to have decent specs for everyday office and Web stuff, but also look impressive, be thin and light, and get good enough battery life for a day of use. No heavy lifting here really, but I found my time with it to be enjoyable, and the screen and refresh rate to be standout features. I almost got one for myself at this price, but will keep using my Asus Zephyrus G14 for now. It's 4 years old but still going OK despite somewhat degraded battery.

Great to hear and thank you. I have a gaming laptop and am tempted by this one. I could use it for work as a consultant as it's light. But I was not quite sure on the CPU esp working with data. The 32gb ram should be good though

Cheers I got one, the coupon I ticked was for 7%. I got the 3 year standard warranty for an extra roughly $100. Cashback is pending @ $196.28

    • Mind sharing the coupun ?

      • It was just a tick box that came up

Cashback is however eligible on codes generated officially by Lenovo on its website, even though they may not be listed on TopCashback, provided last click before purchase is from TopCashback.

      • I have tracked cashback with 5% code as have others in this thread.

  • 1.5kg+

    • Yeah it's not an x1. But you pay almost 2k more for those

  • Showing $1,299 and no 7% coupon and cashback is down to 4.55%. Missed it.
