Is this first time only or for any users? The linked page doesn’t include specific conditions or even promo info.

Hey Commodore64, any users can use this code. It's very limited time so we won't have a page up for it but thanks for clarifying!

  • Would people recommend airtasker for a move?

Just double check on all the fees prior to committing last time I used the service there was a final fee added on top after accepting what was a reasonable offer at the time.

Never use Airtasker before. Will the person have some qualification or licence to do the required job ? I need someone to repair or replace my rusty patio steel post and I assume it will require someone with building construction licence ?

      Airtasker doesn't care.
That person can claim whatever he wants.
It's just a paid version of Gumtree or Facebook marketplace.

        Oh dear

      • Ugh. Thanks for the info.

Was thinking of posting a task for somebody to fix/replace some cracked/broken tiles in the kitchen. Maybe not.

    • Thanks for the question YHT. Yes, Airtasker has options for finding certified professionals in multiple fields. When posting a task on Airtasker, you can specify that you require a licensed or certified individual in that field. An example includes we have many electricians on the platform that have NSW Electrical Licences and provide details about their qualifications. You can also review Tasker profiles and read reviews to verify their credentials and experience before hiring.

They became like uber. Getting worse over time. Charging both taskers and posters

I didn't know they were still around.

was looking for something sorted and this came out. Discount code worked. As others pointed out the service fee kills it though

Had some carpet restreching done, airtasker was the cheapest and quickest. The person who did the job works for a company and just did it after hours. Well worth it for me

be careful using Airtasker - the person we hired, cut down a palm tree and managed to land one of the branches onto the neighbour's car, damaging the bonnet. Despite witnesses and photos, we couldnt claim against the Airtasker's insurance.

Airtasker has no phone number and were not helpful in this situation.

    • I simply do not agree with you. Airtasker is very strict when it comes to customers. I had a job for moving a fridge from outhouse to kitchen pantry. The fridge was filthy & not maintained properly. The rollers underneath the fridge were jammed. Customer had paquetry flooring. The flooring got minor scratches when moving the fridge. Airtasker helped the customer by considering it as my fault and no cover for me. I paid $3600 to bear the cost of replacement or sent to collections & profile removed as i had no public liability insurance then & 1 source of income. You need to follow the process and email them.
