Can't Order through KFC App, No Support from KFC, Multiple Inquiries Sent and No Response from Them & No Customer Care Phone No

I’ve been unable to place an order through the app for the past two months.

Every time I reach the final step, I receive an error message (payment issue related) - regardless of whether I use Apple Pay, Google Pay, or an individual card.

I’ve contacted KFC twice about this issue but no response from KFC and there doesn’t appear to be a phone number I can call.

Should I try deleting my account through the app and creating a new one or any phone number I can call?

I called 1800 865 182 listed on their website but it is the doordash team.

Reason not working:

'payment gateway handler - Yum! Brands has blocked your number and email address. They will only probably start to care if a greater percentage of customers become affected.'

    I had this problem with McDonalds app because I didn't give it location permissions

    What bank cards are being declined?
    I had my Bendigo Bank card declined once. Had to use Revolut that time.

    try creating a new account

    i had that issue once and couldnt use any payments and pretty sure i fixed it by creating a new account

  • I can't order via the app as it says my phone number is already registered but I dont know which email it is registered to. There is no way to reset it and no way to contact support. Incredibly poor processes for a multibillion dollar company.

  • im ok with kfc, but always having problem with oporto app, and mcd app
    (android). either the map to pick store isnt working, or i click pay and it stuck there blank screen.

  • Have you tried going to the store in person? Could be quicker.

    • you are correct, if I delete my account, and re-register using different email but same phone number, will this work?

      I know bunches of people now facing the same issue, they do not care as a multi billon company.

  • My wife app has same issue, I guess they blocked her phone number so she will not be getting fat by eating too much KFC.

    • The issue stems from their payment gateway blocking certain customers, and unfortunately & strange, a multi-million business KFC Australia has no control over or ability to resolve it

  • I got the same issue. I tried to delete my account by using the online form. But not sure if that will work.
    My families have four apps. Both are facing the same issue.
    But we don't have the payment issue in the MCD app.

    Essentially, contact yum with link below to delete your data and account. Once you receive confirmation account is deleted, you can recreate it.

    Which begs the question, how did you get your number blocked in the first place? Have you been ordering and then doing credit card charge back for missing items? Or too many refunds?

      I've been through this process but it didn't work in the end.

    • no, it won't work, I delete my account and recreated still the issue, then I created a new account with a new mobile and email, still same issue, so i think it's phone related, they recognized your phone.

      no credit card charge back and no refund for the past 5 years.

  • Oh no, just got this error. I'll try contacting Yum to see if they can delete my account so I can try ordering after.

      • I got an email back from Yum confirming they deleted my details. Signed up and it's working now. So it took almost 2 months.

    Hi dear families, I want to report that I have some luck fixing the "That Ain't Right Hmm something didnt work on checkout" error my family encountered for few weeks. I am not sure which step can be altered just records what I did:
    1. Delete account in the app, it is under account. My account was deleted straight away.
    2. Sign up with a new email and my mobile number (same as the one in the deleted account)
    3. Create order and pay via PAYPAL as suggested by others
    4. Order went through successfully!

    Tried it on other people's app who had the same error and all work now

    • is the paypal linked to the same email address as the kfc account?

      • No, the PayPal is linked to the previous email.

    • After I deleted current account and tried to setup a new one, I got the error the phone number is in used, couldn't use the same mobile number.

      • That is weird. I tried it on three accounts, all worked. Maybe you account wasn't deleted successfully?

    • Wow I think you've actually fixed my issue. I followed your instructions above and my payment has gone through, will pick up shortly. Also got email confirmation from PayPal. FYI the PayPal address m about I use is linked to the old affected email login.

      • Can confirm my ordering issues are fixed. Successfully picked up and consumed the $6.95 2x slider and chips deal.

    • Legend. The email i used for the account is different to my paypal email. My normal card works when connected through paypal.

    • Unfortunately, the issue back now after 1 order. Let me know if there is another fix.

      • After seeing your post I was ambivalent about the fix initially working for me. But I can confirm I was successful in placing a follow up order yesterday, although it was at a different branch so I will continue to test and monitor. In the mean time I'm happy to be taking on the extra calories again.

  • First time posting. Thought I would add my input. My entire family has been having this issue for about a year now. It used to be only me not having the issue, however as soon as I inputted my known working debit card into an account that is known to not work, my account stopped accepting payments. This to me sounds like there are bans and they are trying to stop ban evasions. I have personally never made any disputes with payments, not sure if the others had, causing them to be banned and me inputting a card number I use for my account caused them to link me to the ban.

    Not exactly sure why they would want to essentially ban us as they happily take my payments and time within in the drive-thru line and when ordering in-store.

    I have not yet made an attempt to try the PayPal method nor what is written within the Reddit post, I am thinking of giving it a shot as I have nothing to lose. Anyways the fast food store that is right next the KFC sounds much more welcoming for my return.

    • Technically it's not KFC's fault. It's Yum! Brand's system that is causing this issue, and not big enough of an issue to really hurt KFC's sales.

  • I need a fix for this, I have tried DAILY on 3 different phones.
    Apple Pay, Credit Card, Paypal and I still can’t order, I haven’t had KFC or any of the in-app deals for 3 weeks now, different accounts on each phone too…

    • New paypal account should work.

      Try create a new account with new email/mobile and maybe a new payment method?
      New accounts worked for one order then kept getting flagged so I'm sorta done with KFC for the time being.

      • I can confirm I was able to make two successful orders with a new email, new phone number and a new debit card, while on the same mobile device as before. I only used the credit card option (not GPay and PayPal).

        • I can use another email but new mobile number now I gotta sign up on say my wife’s number just to get this working ??

      • Yes just one order me too…Unfortunately, I will try again with new email new phone but using the other credit card not paypal - which might be flagged for some reason.

          For the payment method, I used a new Revolut virtual card that I made specifically for my new KFC account. Still to this day I been buying KFC in-app with no issues. Also avoid using any cards that you have entered on a banned account even if the payment had failed for it.

  • Dammmmm I missed yesterday's $8 box deal because of this. I believe new email and new number will be the solution - by the way, I ate KFC a lot and that might be the reason I've got blocked!
