Refinance with ING & Buy an Eligible Home Energy Upgrade via BoomPower for $1,500 Cashback + Broker Cashback @ ING & BoomPower

$1,500 cashback when your customer refinances and upgrades with ING

How to apply for the $1,500 cashback

  1. Refinance an existing home loan from another lender to an ING Home Loan (Mortgage Simplifier, Orange Advantage or Fixed Rate Loan) for at least $350,000 (excluding refinances of existing ING loans) between 17 June 2025 and 30 September 2025
  2. Have your customer use the Home Energy Helper (ing.com.au/heh) platform to purchase and install one or more eligible home energy upgrades on their security property
  3. Post settlement of the refinance, provide ING with the final invoice for the completed work so we can verify it and pay the cashback to the customer!

Your customer could combine Australia’s current Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme with the new Cheaper Home Batteries program launching 1 July 2025, and they could save $6,500 on a typical solar and battery system. Rebate amount is based on a 13kWh battery and a 9kW solar system, both with an average market pricing of $37 per STC (which may vary).

ING rates:

Variable rates with escalated pricing discount not advertised from:
Owner 5.49% (CPR 5.52%)
Investor 5.64% (CPR 5.67%)
3.74% (CPR 4.97%) fixed 5 year ING Green Upgrade Loan via HEH Home Energy Helper
"Basic" Mortgage Simplifier - no annual fee, no offset, free redraw. Add offset account package for $299 a year

Always worth doing a calculation for your situation, eg:

If you have an existing loan and your rate is 5.99%, refinancing to 5.49% will save you 0.5% each year.
On a $500k loan, that is a saving of $2500 every year.
plus our Bundle Rebate worth $1,500, that's a benefit of $4000 in just the first year

PLUS up to $4,000 broker rebate per loan (on top of bank cashback, available via broker only, not via the bank)

In ADDITION to bank rebates, we have a broker rebate (based on net of offset/redraw ie balance owing) for ANY bank or product. (Loans >$300k paid as Gift cards).

$300k loan = $900 gift card
$400k loan = $1,200 gift card
$500k loan = $1,500 gift card
$600k loan = $1,800 gift card
$700k loan = $2,100 gift card
$800k loan = $2,400 gift card
$900k loan = $2,700 gift card
$1M loan = $4,000 gift card

  • BoomPower system seems like bit of a miss in mid-north Coast, tried to get a qoute and returned 2 retailers. 1 of them in Queensland the other very limited, neither returned my message. Make sure you check if any decent suppliers come up for you.

  • Beware, ING are well known for roping people in with a good deal such as this to start with and then jacking up the rates as time goes by citing the ever increasing costs of obtaining funds from overseas….its exactly what they did to me and then on top of that they wanted to close my everyday account down and freeze my mortgage at the higher rates permanently.
I refinanced with a much better bank at a 1% reduction in interest rate before the deadline came.

    Valuable lesson learned, never again…
    Read reviews on ING, shocking

    • So which bank did you switch to ?

Refinanced to ING over 2 years ago and currently on 5.49%. Not the best, but certainly not the worst.

Will never use ING again after my experience with a new loan. They sat on my application for 10 days, said nothing and on the day of settlement asked me to cancel 2 credit cards I had (small limits, less than 20k total) and supply cancelation letters. Very, very poor and from this experience alone I tell absolutely everyone I possibly can because I think it was just such incredibly poor customer service and no one should be treated like that. It wasn’t a complex loan application (80% LVR, well within borrowing limits by all banks). All through a broker too who was trying to get it sorted too. Macquarie had my loan approved the next day, same day as I applied. Less than 6 hours.

Beware of @Len -Bundle Loans. More than 3 and half years since the loan facilitated by Len. Where is my cashback, gift card and broker rebate? Wouldn't be exaggeration to categorize this post as scam!

    • Hi the rebate is by redemption per our email, did you contact us to redeem since it settled? If not please contact 0422353868 or email [email protected] and we will resolve for you asap. Thank you.
