  • So you could take the money pay the $199 fee then pay it back the next day?

    • +2

The $199 should be on the first statement.

Balance transfer $5000 to your bank account.
Immediately pay back around $4900 or less to your citi ready credit account (takes 2 business days)

      • So total cost is circa $199 + say interest of $1?

        50k points for $200?

        • +4

          yes correct.
interest only on the remaning $ balance
and minimum repayment monthly is around $20 iirc, and takes around 2-3 months to receive the points, so need to take these into account

          • @gembel: Can the card continue to be used for other spends on the remaining balance or will the other purchases on the card as well attract interest charges

            • @auindie: let's say you applied $6000, $5000 balance transferred to your other bank account.
Yes you can continue to use your Citi Lending Mastercard for spending the remaining $1000, it will attract interest straightaway, consider it's a loan with no interest free period.

Submitted application at 1pm for $5000 and provided just a payslip
    Approved at 3pm
Wish other banks are as easy!

    • Did you get a conditionally approved message at the end of the application?
I remember seeing something like that for my citi credit card application but nothing just now for this so wondering if that's a foreboding sign lol.

      • No I don't get conditionally approved message at the end, it was the usual "submit your document and we will get back to you in x business days" message

When was the last comm last Citi? doesn't hurt to call or live chat

        • Only applied earlier this morning. Not in any rush, was just curious about the missing 'conditionally approved' message that's all.
