  • Another points offer for those excluded from all CCs

  • it is a good one for churners, considering most bank increased cooling period.

I received the 150k V points offer like 2 years ago and still able to get this offer. Chat online and the agent confirm that I am eligible. Received 70k last week.

$199 for 70k was not too bad.

I think if anyone had something like this before this offer commencement date 6 February 2025 they can apply again

      • they seemed have a lower requirement of cooling period.

      • How about this? Offer exclusions: This offer is available only once per customer. If you have previously received, or are entitled to earn, 70,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points with this offer, you will not be eligible to earn another 70,000 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points with this offer.

    • How long did you wait after transferring the $5000 to receive the email to provide your velocity number?

And how long did you wait to receive the points after providing velocity number?

      Thanks!

      • approved early APR, received the email to supply V membership mid MAY, received the points last week.

        Pretty smooth

        • thanks! just got my card Monday, and the $5000 balance transfer was done on Tuesday.
so hoping to receive the email mid July. fingers crossed

    • I did the same back 2022 but online agent said I may not be able get V points this time. did you chat with a agent in the promotion team?

  • So get $5k transferred to bank account, transfer it back to Citi, pay the $199 fee and get 70k points?

What's the catch here? Do you only transfer $4,999 back so your credit is still open?

    • Credit Score impact.
I'd transfer $4900 to be safe

  • For those who got this recently, how long after you balance transfer the $5000 do you receive the email to provide your velocity number?

    • Requesting your Velocity Frequent Flyer number: NAB will send you an email to the address maintained on your Citi Ready Credit account requesting your Velocity Frequent Flyer membership number from you within 2 months from the date the initial transfer of $5,000 or more was processed.

  • Any idea what supporting documentation is required for this application?

Just wondering has anyone had both the Qantas and Velocity offers at the same time? And do you get the bonus points for both?

    • Yes, also wondering if this is possible

    • T&C in Qantas say you cannot double dip, also confirmed with live chat.

I have absolutely no idea how this facility works. Is there an explanation for dummies?

    • It's quite similar to credit card in that you are extended a credit limit and you are only charged interest on the amount you use. The key difference from credit card is there are no interest free days, and there's no cash advance fee i.e., you can withdraw money as cash as you would from a normal bank account.

      • Cheers mate

  • Little confused, I got the nab reward visa, just got 60k velocity points from that offer. Can I apply for this to?

    • yes, different products

      • Thanks

Noob query - lets say get approved for 5000 pay 4900 next day and pay the 199 establishment fee plus interest on 1 dollar balance .

Question is whether the credit card remaining balance can be used on day to day purchases without any interest on this purchase or will these purcuases as well add to the interest

  • Yikes! $199 annual fee for only 70k points. My last churn a year ago was under $100 annual fee for about the same amount of points.

Churning really isn't as good as it once was.

Anyone knows if this hits harder on your credit score than say a credit card would?
