12 Months of Uber One Membership $9.60 (Was $96/year) @ Uber Eats

360

My partner was browsing her Uber Eats account and found that she could join Uber One for one year at 90% off ($9.60). I suggest checking your account as you might also receive this offer.

Went to look and I'm already a a member from Stan deal. Zero uses, so $0.00 sounds right

    • I just checked my Uber Eats app. Under Profile > Promotions there was no 12 month deal but there was one for a free two months.

      2 months free of Uber

I've had free uberone for the last 4 months… it's pretty useless. Ubers is like $3 cheaper

    • +5

How is it useless. Been killing it with the $10 meals these days.

      • I don't use ubereats, it's always slow, I prefer doordash, but that's personal preference, I only use uberone with uber.

        • I've had issues w recent doordash orders but unfortunately they never give credit or refund cause my acc has been flagged or somethin.

kinda sick of doordash now even tho it is my preferred platform.

          • @AeymothSky: After a couple of complaints, they don't seem to give any compensation for slow/cold/missing/incorrect food orders.

            • @Tiggrrrrr: yeah, i haven't been compensated for an issue w my order in ages.

should i just start using a new dd acc now?

i hate that different acc show diff pricing for fees n such as well.

Works pretty well for me. I can accrue personal uber credit off business rides. Have earned about $150 in the last 6 months since I had it

      • -1

I guess that's also personal experience, I don't use uber that much.

      • you mean saved $150?

        • No, I haven’t redeemed any of the personal credit yet so I haven’t saved $150. I have only earnt the credit so far.

Uber one is such a scam. They waive the delivery fee but still charge you their "service fee". That's on top of the restaurant's higher than normal prices on uber eats. Uber is still making $20-$30 on every order plus this scam subscription 😂
I got 6 months of uber one free but I barely use even that unless I'm blazed out of my mind.

    • +6

$20-30 on every order? How is that even possible when my order is $17

      • -1

If you’re not ordering at least $100 of food in one order are you even uber eating properly?

        • i enjoyed this silly joke. not sure why it's being downvoted.

      • -3

Orders like yours is where they make the most money. If you have 4 people ordering on the same order they can split the costs between them except for the overpriced dishes that is. You ordering individually over a long enough time period will actually spend more on uber eats than someone who places a bulk order or a group of people who place a group order.

    • So like every other food delivery service; gotcha

      • +1

Uber eats prices are consistently higher than DoorDash and the others for the same restaurants.

        • That's fine, I'm discussing the service fee.

CommBank yellow has 6 months free

    • is this a current offer? must also be targeted since I don't have it

      • Yes, I saw now and grabbed it.
Just go to yello offer and it was at the end.

        • yeah definitely nothing for me, although im a new customer through a home loan as of this month - may not be hitting eligibility criteria just yet. Ill make a few purchases this week and check back, thanks

  • mine is $8 on my 2nd acct
While my main acct is free till Oct.

dont know if i need 2 uber one accts

  • Not for me. Offered me 50% off at next renewal

Doing some napkin maths - At $9.60 with the 5% credit you'd have to spend $192 a year on uber to break even. Tiny bit muddier with it being off "the next ride" but whatever, call it $200 to break even.
If you spend more than that on Uber its a no brainer, but these membership deals are of course designed to make you spend more than you otherwise would. Careful..

  • I got $15 off $30 min spend instead
