    Any good?

Great monitor! I have been using it for 6 months with my MacBook Pro 16 M3. Very good value for money considering the only alternatives with the same resolution are triple the price.

    • What use? Looking for one that is good on the eye for spreadsheets etc

      • +8

        Browsing Ozbargain. Obviously

    • I second this. Initially I was hesitant (because … Kogan).

But for productivity (coding, etc) it's pretty good.

Not so much for gaming - it's only 75Hz, and pushing native resolution on this thing would require a 5090 - I'm not that rich.

I’m very tempted to use as an office monitor, but the review on the Amazon page isn’t exactly glowing. Are Kogan’s warranty exchange painless?

    • Maybe buying from Amazon is safer. At least someone can help you with warranty claim.

    • I was about to buy this monitor because specs are amazing for the $ but that review on Amazon and Kogan shadiness put me off.

Just be aware, not for FPS gaming - Response Time: 14ms . Great for Word and Excel.

    • +7

Faster than switch 2 screen 😆

    • +1

14ms is terrible, didn't even see that - 75hz will probably be a disqualifier for a lot of gamers too

If we were meant to have curved screens, God would have given us curved eyes.

      Flat Eye'er.

    • +2

last I checked, my eyeballs and lenses are curved

    • Wait, you don't have curved eyeballs?

  • Anyone managed to overclock the refresh rate to 100hz on these?

    • +1

Someone previously reported yes, but I couldn't. Blank screen for anything over 75hz.

I've had mine for over a year now. No issues at all with it. I made a small video review when I first got it

TLDR: at this price point, no brainer for productivity or Simulation/RTS games. There is nothing that comes even close to it, especially when you factor in type-c connection which saves you the cost of a dock.

    • Thanks future pete

    • Same here, around 12 months and no problems.

Nice to see some decent screen real estate getting cheaper!
    Will watch this space

I had this delivered today and have been using it for a few hours. Honestly, I wasn't expecting such a high picture quality. The text is clear as day too.
Despite this, I probably won't be buying anything from Kogan again solely due to their shady practices and the horror stories I've heard about their warranty.

    • How long did it take for the delivery to arrive?

      • Ordered on the 20th, arrived today (30th).

  • There are models with Nano-IPS panels and 120Hz refresh rates available in China, using the same housing, for less than A$400. Hope a more reputable wholesaler can import and sell them at a reasonable price in Australia.

      Not at this resolution though

      • 40 inch 5k monitors only come with 5k2k resolution.

49 inch and 38 inch models come with different resolutions and are cheaper

The 120hz model uses a 500nit Black IPS LG panel, while the other one features a 300nit nano-ips LG panel

If you can read Chinese or with the Chrome’s translation feature, you can check the manufacturer’s website http://www.xinghuachen.com/

        • this looks interesting, but the website has an issue with tls certificate though, also no monitor specs, just generic ones

I bought a Crossover 27Q about ten years ago - rehoused LG panel they used in iMacs at the time and it was fantastic. 1/5th of the price and arrived in 2 days from South Korea. Never had a single issue with it (other than it only supporting DVI-D, no HDMI) Such a good way to do it

Have been eyeing the Dell U4025QW but these seem to be the same or very similar panel - 120HZ IPS Black with 500 nits

I've been using this monitor for a while now.
First one went back to Kogan for a dead pixel, second one has been running great.
Using it with my work laptop from the USB C connection and no issues also using the built in kmv for mouse and keyboard.

    • How was the return process? Did you have to post it?

      • +1

Raised it online, they posted out first then asked me to send back after.
Took a few weeks to get sorted.

  • Weird question, but has anybody used this monitor vertically? Do curved monitors do this well, or the curve wont look good?
Currently using a flat LG 32" 4k monitor vertical, wouldn't mind more vertical space

    • +1

The stand is not tall enough for this one to be used vertically. If you have a solution for that, I don't think the curvature will be an issue.

  • How's the curve on this?

    • +1

It is 2500R. You can barely notice the monitor is curved.

  • Without Stand 94.6 x 10.8 x 41.8cm

41.8cm height, same as the 39.7" LG and around the same as 32", it is good.

I owned 34" ultra-wide before, but the height just not enough.

  • This turned up today. Good for the price. Coming from Dell monitors the stand is flimsy, not sure how to gently adjust the angle without breaking it.

    PD works well.

    OSD has limited options.

    Anyone have the larger version?
