Can you disable the WiFi when not in use so that it doesn't drain the battery?
Cameras that are Eye-Fi compatible usually have menu options to turn the Wi-Fi on and off, as well as to select which network to connect to.
Been wanting this for a few weeks. eBay auctions around 60-70+ mark but this got warranty and a voice recorder!
Thanks Op. Bought the 4GB card. Have always wanted to get one. Target is selling this for $47.20 online but this works out still to be cheaper even with shipping…not to mention a free recorder as well. So I think this is a pretty decent deal.
Good price but I think the PQI air Wi-Fi are better value add you can easily hack the embedded Linux running in those and also they use cheap micro sd cards.
Shipping is extra, but even so this is a good deal. I have one in a point & shoot used by the kids and the "endless" mode means I never have to hunt the camera down to get the photos off it. I've even used the photo stream to workout where the camera last was & find it. The pro version also uses wifi to embed location data into images which is pretty neat… Tempted! Thanks…..
Hi Guys, I think I just had bad luck, but have any of you who have bought these cards (as part of this deal or otherwise) had problems with corrupt photos/videos?
Can this be used to transfer any type of file via Wifi? (ie if the card was used in a computer for storage)
What about receiving files from a computer instead of sending them?
