Looking for a cheap am5 cpu deal. None popping up on aliex this month?
7700s usually go for near $100 with coupons and cashback
Really kicking myself for not going after that deal.
It's not the last anyway
@marsmall0w2 Why do you spread mis-information in every AMD thread?
I thought it was a typo, as the best I can see is ~$204

around $100 USD i think he was talking about.. after tax and fees it works out to be $200 AUD.. i got one for around that price + cashback
I'd probably still opt for the 7600, which comes with a cooler and is likely out of the box compatible with more motherboards (on older revisions).
This isn't bad though, might even be pound for pound as good value, haven't looked, but very close between the two in terms of performance.
I’d definitely choose a aliex 7700
I have that exact chip, its a good choice, but bang for but I think the 7600 is better. For gaming, there's very little performance gain having the extra cores.
I went from a 7600 to a AliEexpress 7700 .. didn't notice any improvement to gaming but my idle power draw was lower probably due to silicon lottery and also B2 revision stepping of the Zen4 7700 Chip. Also my CPUz benchmark scores went up heaps
7600
Single core = 664
Multi Core = 4700
7700
Single core = 751
Multi Core = 7000
My next upgrade will be an (easy slot in replacement) Zen6 when it comes down in price after initial release unless Intel's new product (at the time) is really good and puts pressure on AMD's pricing.
So you think the 7600, at a higher price is better than the cheaper and better 7700?
@Lolitsjoel: I'm not sure where a 7700 is cheaper than a 7600, if it legitimately is, sure, pick that… But typically it's 30% more expensive and doesn't have +30% single core performance, it might have 2-5%.
So a 7700 is probably a better deal up to 10% more, otherwise the 7600 is better bang for buck, easily.
If you add in Ali express, then you have to add it on both sides and I'm not across if the 7700 is cheaper/similar to a 7600 on there.
Price has been jacked to $419 now.
:) .. yep… going inline with other stores selling price + ebay fees
