ShopBack Plus $5 Gift Card Voucher Missing

Hi all,

Attention to those who are on SB+:

  1. may I ask did you get the usual $5 voucher toward your next use on any GC purchase on SB? I’m asking coz neither mine nor mrs’s SB+ acc got it as it should have per usual, we renewed both accs on 26th July. (Cycle every 26th)
    Very suss that both accs didn’t get it.

  2. Have you noticed the “Change Plan” button located in-app under
    Setting ⚙️ > Shopback Plus > Plan
    It now gives you the options to sub into:
    1 Month ($4.99/mo),
    6 Months ($4.67/mo — save 7%)
    12 Months ($3.75/mo — save 25%)

Anybody noticed? How will this affect the $5/mo GC voucher if we subbed into any of the 6 or 12months plans?
Have they quietly shafted us getting rid of the $5 voucher in favour of these multi-monthly plan options??
There is absolute no communication received by me regarding any of these changes.
Anyone else experiencing the same as me or am I an isolated case?

Any insight or comments is appreciated on these matters.

    • I have been monitoring both accs since renewal every day, the voucher was never there up til now.
      Besides, the voucher should have lasted a whole month until the following renewal no?

    Thanks for flagging this! We’re aware of the issue with the missing or delayed $5 promo, and we’ve already let the team know to look into it.

    As for the subscription plans, here’s the deal: The $5 promo will still apply each month, but if you sign up for 6 or 12 months, you'll save on the subscription cost. So it’s just a way to save a bit on the overall subscription while still getting the $5 promo every month!

      When does the $5 automatically spawn every month?
      If I purchase annually, but previously my monthly anniversary is 26th, is it going to spawn on the same monthly anniversary as before (ie 26th every month) or will it change to calendar based (eg. 1st of every month)?

      Please clarify so as to not miss out the deadline, so I can also put reminders on my calendar.

      • The $5 promo usually appears within 48 hours of your renewal date. If you switch to an annual subscription, it’ll still appear around the same time each month as your previous anniversary (so, 26th in your case). It won't change to a calendar-based date.

            • @gotyourback: as for point 2. the extra option for subscription, Was there ever any ads/communications about it anywhere in the SB app or email? I certainly didn't see anything that points me there.
              Or is SB intentionally quietly rolling that option out in hopes people don't notice? hmm…

          And as Usual Support is a big fail
          4 days ago get an email that response will be 1-2 days!

Because i needed to buy a $5 gift voucher but it prompts me to join shopback plus as I'll get a $5 gift card each month so I pay and join shopback plus and i still don't get the $5 discount which means it's been pointless. I either now spend another $5 to get the voucher i need or i wait an unknown amount of time for your support to respond. While I get its only $5 that's besides the point if you advertise something when people are checking out as an alternative then it still needs to deliver on what the customer intended
