Don’t these type of games fall in price really quick?

I applaud folks who pay such high amounts to a game like this.

personally, I can’t justify that much for an f1 game that’s iterative/ marginally incremental from one year to the next.

    • They do fall in price, but generally not during the F1 season.

In my experience they target F1 fans by keeping the price high during the F1 calendar season, then when it is done they add the game to services like Gamepass, and the buy price plummets.

I'm looking for a PC copy, but it's still $90 for the base game.

      • They usually go to around $60-70 after a few months

      • I can only speak for the PC steam version, they do fall in price fairly quickly.

F1 24 was released at the end of May last year for a price of $100 I think it was so I decided to wait a bit, and I got for $72 in July just two months after release.

I can now buy F1 25 @ $76.46 as a loyalty bundle, but will have to wait for the price to go down further. For me I can't justify purchasing a copy and paste game on a newly released game.

I really don't understand the thought process of anyone that would buy games like this every single year.

I mean.. I put at least 150-200 hours into each NHL game every year despite it only ever having one new gameplay mechanic and roster updates, $80 a year for hundreds of hours of entertainment is easily worth it for me. I imagine it's the same for F1 fans?

    • My credit card has a price protection feature. I'd usually claim the difference in price when it's really low at the 12 month mark. So I get to enjoy games on release.

  • I think there’s a novelty price paid to have the “latest” drivers for F1 25. The previous years it might be minor changes but this year there’s so many new rookie drivers and team changes that it’d be worth to have the game “match” what’s going on in the current season

    • Or wait one more year for the new regs and MercMax, sorry George

Anyone else think it's weird Bearman/Haas of all people made the front cover?

    • Haas is a US team and this is the US version so…

      • It's the same cover globally. Even then, Ocon would have made more sense, only just

  • If it had a PSVR2 mode I'd have grabbed it already
