    Tested for: 110 kg

    Not strong enough for Ozbargaining

      Or hardcore gamers

    • Yeah I agree - I was only 75kgs back when I tested it but it definitely felt on the lighter side as if the frame itself was a bit hollow.

    • I am heavier then that and I have the chair. I find it very comfortable. For from home so it gets a fair bit of use.

I think this has a non standard wheel so you won't be able to purchase 3rd party wheels if you want to replace it

I've had ikea chairs before. I just went on their spare parts website and ordered wheels from there. Pretty sure it was free too.

I think they mean 3rd party wheels as in custom wheels.

last time on youtube I saw some people like to replace wheels with rollerblade wheels, they are larger and thinner so you can roll easily on a rug or carpet.

obviously for most people the wheels the come with the chair are fine.

I have an ikea chair as well btw, and I think they all have those "anti slip" wheels. you need to push more and the chair moves slowly when it has nobody sitting in it, when you are sitting in it the wheels move like normal. I heard somewhere it was actually developed for safety reasons for cleaners in the office to reduce accidents.

        • Correct I have replaced mine with rollerblade style wheel that has brakes on it, but that's not an Ikea chair

Personally, I think the markus is better built and more comfortable. Gaming is often just a gimmick to fetch a higher price tag

    • it's a different type of chair.
Styrspel is mesh seat base and mesh back with adjustable head rest. cooler in the summer, mesh always forms to the shape of your back and bum so some people find it more comfy.
some people also prefer the older cushion style like the markus as well because they are used to it.

I'm not surprised the hideous colours are on sale.

    • purple is the only one thats $239.

there is regular dark grey for the grown ups. 💁‍♀️

  • I added to cart and saw shipping from $299. No thanks!

  • If you fart in this it falls apart

      it falls apart

      You dropped this:
      sh

      • Oh yes I must drop another one of those today, thank you! 💩

  • Got one last year and I will buy another one for my partner if it comes back in stock.

  • Is it actually that bad? For the warranty and features, it seems pretty good. And I dig the color

I think I read one bad review on reddit, I assume heavy american guy. said over time the bottom seat mesh stretched and they could feel the bar underneath. showed a photo of them sitting in it and their bum touching the bar below.

tbh I would consider the weight limit a bit high it's 110kg, but if you are 60~100kg should be fine.

  • I bought this chair for ~$320 in 2023 and it came with a solid leather wrapped cushion base. It is great. My only complaint is the wheels don't move unless sat on - weird design choice.

I don't think I'd buy it if it had a mesh bottom instead, especially not for around $300… Even $250… Given above comments… Probably Markus is better now.
