What is the point in iPads anyway? I have iPhone, serves me when I'm not behind desk. When I'm behind desk I use external 32" monitor. When I'm in bed 14" Macbook is way more comfy than iPad…

good point. I have also had similar thoughts. Have had ipads over the years and the only situations that I would naturally use one, is probably when going on holiday and dont want to bring a laptop. Or just want a consumption device to use on the plane. I've always thought I would use it more than I actually have found myself using… that being said I really wanna give ipad mini a go! lol.

A folding phone will be broken because of the hinge eventually. There are quite a lot of people that had returned their foldable phone because of the hinge and/or screen problem.

If you like reading a lot of magazines, newspapers, comics, ebooks for example, then iPad is more convenient than MacBook or your 32" monitor as it's vertical (unless if you want to put your MacBook/monitor vertically lol).
I can read a lot of them for free from PressReader app through free library membership. If we read like around 100 computer magazines for example (certain magazines), the cost of the magazines can cover the price of the iPad … It will be expensive if you have to pay all the magazines, newspapers, etc. if you read a lot. There are so many different kind of magazines (IT, men/women/kids, parenting, hobbies, history, games, film, health, etc.), newspapers, etc. from all around the world.
The point is the iPad does not serve you, but it does serve many other people in their life.
