How long does the code last for if i want to wait to redeem?
ultimate runs out end of month

And are we limited to buying only 2?

    • +1

Game pass codes never expire unless they are promotional/trial codes which these are not. You can stack up to 36 months max per account (just buy it in multiple transactions).

  • -4

    Better use eneba

  • I am unable to select PayTo as a payment method for this or any other transaction, despite it being listed in my account settings as a payment option.
I see a few other people with this same issue, and am wondering if everyone else having this issue also has unused amazon credit on their accounts like i do that it seem intent on using first?

  • +1

No option coming up with pay to for me. Ive got it with other purchases but not the game card

  • How long do you need to wait to get the code from Amazon? I ordered about 5 hours ago and haven’t received anything yet

    • I waited maybe about four hours before the payment went through and I received the code.

I haven't had to wait that long for buying gift cards in the past.

    • Amazon sometimes takes longer when there are a lot of people buying

    • Got both of mine in 10mins

    • First one took a few hours…. the follow ups (I bought them separately to ensure the first code worked ok before buying the other 2) took 10min.

    • For some really odd reason, the order wouldn't go through if I attempted to pay by credit card. Once I paid with my debit card, it took about 5-10 minutes to get my code

  • Camelcamelcamel seems to indicate the discounted price is higher than the usual price? https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B0CN2TDBCN?tp=all

    • Cost via xbox.com is $13.95 per month.
      $13.95x3 = $41.85

I'd say just retailers getting around to adjusting their price to match the price increase to game pass that happened back in 2024.

PayTo doesn't work for digital purchases… won't stack on top of the 15% already given.

Still bought though… 15% off Core 12 months x3, then a 1 month Ultimate (also discounted) to convert the lot over to Ultimate.
Ended up getting Ultimate till Feb 27 for a total price of $248.89.
Still way more expensive than buying a burner 'primary account' on G2A (they are around $120 for 12m at present), but too risky imo.

    • Was the conversion $1? Someone else is asking above.

      • +1

Nah, I had to buy the 1 month Ultimate for $19.95.

        • Tried to buy 3 x Core 12 months (and 1 month Ultimate) and it wouldn't let me buy more than 2 x Core 12 months - even in two separate orders. Might have to get 2 x 6 months but that's an extra $8.46.
Edit - Disregard. Was able to order a third 12 months Core after the original order was delivered to my inbox.

          • @Quicksta: I did it the opposite way around.

Bought the first one to ensure the code/region was ok (I've had issues with online even well known retailers selling the wrong region codes).

Then when the first cashed in ok, I bought the other two to get to the 36m max limit.

            • +1

@UFO: Ah right - I was riding on your coattails thanks for detailing what you did) so tried to get them all at once - might be a limit on more than three codes in one order.
Now I just have to wait a couple of weeks for my current sub to expire before using them!

  • +1

Unless you have never had GP before its much better value to sub for the 1 or 2 months a year when something is actually there that you want to play.

    • It’d be cheaper to actually own it in that case through a cdkeys deal 😏

  • +2

Was about to buy, then i thought… i don't really use it that much to justify buying, even at these prices…
If VPN trick still worked, maybe… but not at $140 odd per year…..

    • +1

I think the best case scenario is actually about $157 a year if you guy 3 years worth of core (turns to 18mths of ultimate) and then a single month of ultimate - looks like what @UFO did.

  • +1

I bought two, but Amazon cancelled my order and forced a password reset for some reason.

    • +1

Weird. The same thing happened to me.

      • It's happened to me 3 times now.
        Password reset, recent orders cancelled.

  • Just wanted to confirm.

    If starting from no/inactive subscription.

Need to buy 3x12mo Core + 1mo Ultimate

    Activate the 3x12mo Core = 36mo total.0

Then finally activate the 1mo Ultimate to upgrade everything to 18mo Ultimate (2:1 conversion rate) ?

    • +1

I was writing the exact same thing at the same time. That's my understanding too and looking for the confirmation as well.

      • +1

So as a datapoint, when I did this (and ticked the "one month free for enabling automatic renewals" when activating the Ultimate code), my subscription expiry / next charge date is coming up as 3/11/2027.

Which works out to 27 months and 3 weeks. Or 26 months and 3 weeks if you take off the free month.

        Weird, but not complaining.

        • +1

Are you sure that isn't an American date? 11/3/2027 would make more sense. If not then I think you won the game pass lottery. Seems like you somehow got the old 3:2 conversion plus some bonus months.

          • @nategasm: Oh good catch, that never even crossed my mind.

You are correct, the actual expiration date is March 11, 2027.

    • +2

Correct, see UFO's post above, they did the same thing. Note you will need to do 2 transactions on Amazon to get around the 2 quantity limit

  • +2

My 3yr deal expires on the 22ns of this month.

If I read correctly through this thread (and via my own googling), its in my best interest to let my subscription lapse and then on the 23rd, activate 3years of Core and then activate a 1 month ultimate for 18mths of Ultimate at an average cost of ~$13.83 per month?

I figure buy my 3 years core and 1 month ultimate codes now and wait a few weeks?

Can someone check my logic here?

    • +1

Logic checks out. I’ll be doing the same thing as mine runs out on the 27th.
You should end up with a total of 19 months when you include that final month of ultimate you activate.

      • +2

Thinking of doing the same, though my membership expires end of August

So annoying having to pay these prices now! Had it so good for so long

      • Legend. Thank you :)

    • Correct.

Do not add the code whilst your subscription still active.
It will automatically convert a 1 year 'Core' into 114 days 'Ultimate'.

    • +1

How did you go? My 3 years expires in a couple of days. Looks like the best way to do it that doesn't require a lot of work arounds…

    • Did this work for you @essentrix?

  • You cannot purchase this product as this region is currently not supported. Any bundle discounts associated with this product will not be applied in this purchase.

Hi All.. anyone getting this error during checkout

  • FOR ANYONE HAVING ISSUES WITH IT SAYING "Not available in your region"

Check where your other devices have been registered (Kindle, Echo, Etc) and change them all to AUS. Then it'll work.

  • Thanks for the tip on PC GamePass using Telstra Points. I had a bunch of unused points as their rewards store isn't great and have just added 6 months of GPU (9 months of PC GamePass -> 6 months GPU) - so subscription now ends on 29 May 2028

Funnily enough last time I used Telstra Points was a couple of years ago when the Prime membership was about to go higher in price and I bumped up my Prime Membership to end in December 2028.

    • Was this conversion to an existing GPU subscription?

      • +1

Yes - I already had an active GPU sub with 2 years and 4 and a bit months left on it. So I got 3x 3 month GamePass PC subs using Telstra Reward points (14,400 per pack, or $34.82 if you want to pay cash) and when added to my existing GPU sub each one added 2 months - so a total of 9 months GP PC -> 6 months GPU.

        Link to Telstra: https://plus.telstra.com.au/rewards/explore/23148

  • My sub expired last month, it kinda hurts spending so much now, lol.

I only bought 2x 12 months core + 1 month ultimate, got the codes straight away, I probably won't redeem them until NG4 (or something else worthwhile) gets released.

  • I tried ordering this before expiry and Amazon locked my account:

We believe that an unauthorized party may have accessed your account. As a security measure, we have disabled your Amazon account password and signed you out of your account. We have canceled any pending orders, reversed any modifications made by this unauthorized party and removed any suspicious devices.

    Thanks Amazon!

    • I had the same thing happen twice.

Go on their support and tell them that you're the one that was trying to purchase it. They may give you the discounted price because their system incorrectly flagged it as a fraudulent purchase.
