VPN method does not work anymore so we are stuck with these local key deals
@nategasm: Are you sure? Has it changed in the last 6 months? I purchased 12 months Core from India in February and my ultimate expires in August
@ekto: Yes. People started having issues in the previous deal from Feb/March. It has also been reported on Reddit. There is still a way to do it but it's more difficult/inconvenient and not guaranteed to work.
Yeah I got turkey VPN ultimate 3 years for under $100. Hard to justify Aussie prices when the Ottomans were paying that.

Considering Core 6 months is $42.46 and Ultimate 3 months is $58.61, that's still a discount. If you buy yearly core, that works out to $38.23 for 3 months. (All without -5% PayTo discount)
Yeh 3x12 months Core gives you 18 months Ultimate @ $12.74/month (plus 1 month Ultimate cost) but this is for new subs only.

Yeah, when my 3 year XBox Ultimate subscription ends out next year, I may not continue unless there is some new cheap deal again.
On the same boat.. unless you are gaming regularly, the crazy prices don't really justify it.
Like many, I got $150/3 years and that was good.

Mine ran out a while ago and haven't really seen the point to renewing at the current prices. Got a pc now and can easily sail for games instead.

this was MSs play all along - suck people in cheap and then kill competition and pump up the price, for that reason we need to make sure this doesnt succeed, in the end we will all end up paying more for it.

If you are not currently subscribed, the better deal is to buy gamepass core and then convert it to ultimate at 2:1 ratio (ie. buy 12 months core, convert to 6 months ultimate).

You can stack up to 3 years membership, so for this the best you could do is to buy 36 months of core and convert to 18 months ultimate, which is probably what ill be doing shortly, as my sub runs out in a few weeks.
Does that also work even if you're subscribed to ultimate? Buy 12 months core and it'll convert to another 6 months of ultimate?
If you are currently subscribed it converts at a much worse ratio, 12 months of Game Pass Core converts to 114 days of Ultimate, a bit better than 4:1 ratio.

Then I spoke to their AI bot and she said without an active subscription, buying 36 months of core will upgrade to 24 months of ultimate.
Might take the gamble and if it's really 2:1 I'll claim I was given different info in two different parts of Xbox website.
I'd be happy with $9.54 a month for 24 months of ultimate.

Do you have your digital account set to another region? I got the same message, and I assumed it was because my Kindle/Audible account is set to US - so I switched it over to Australia, which let me purchase, and then switched it back.

weird. I get this error as well, but I'm using an AU account with prime (my kindle has a different login, and is set to US).
Feels weird to support this when Microsoft just told several thousand people to piss off, so that they can put that money into their AI infrastructure. And one of their head's proceeded to then tell sacked employees that they could turn to AI to cope with the top's decision to sack them.

I have 2 profiles on the Xbox, the new Indian account has the sub, and the Aus (main account) is logged in and gets all the GPU access.
I used Gamivo and got the Core to Ultimate conversion, ended up being around $89 for 13 months.
Interesting, seems like the multiple profiles thing may work on PC too except for those games needing external launchers (EA)

I'd say go with the 2 years core and 1 month ultimate conversion, either you end up with a year ultimate if it's 2:1 or 16 months if it's 3:2
This would be 76.5 x 2 = 153
1 month ultimate is 19.5
so total would be 172.5
so if it's 1 year, you'd get it for 14.5
if you get 16 months you'd get it for 10.8

Once you've expired, active your core then upgrade to ultimate for one month (which might be $1 I can't remember)
i was on the 3 year vpn deal which expired end of last year. then i got the eneba 3 month deal. now, i havent had acitve sub for months as i dont have much time to play and cant jusitfy new pricing tiers.

Yes you are correct. Though I believe the $1 Ultimate upgrade promo is no longer available. You'll need to buy a 1 month Ultimate key from this deal and redeem that after you have redeemed the Core key. You can also stack more Core keys (up to 3 years) before redeeming the Ultimate key to get the most value from that key.
I bought the 1m Ultimate from Amazon for $20 and converted the lot with that.
Core > Ultimate conversion rate is different if you have an active sub.
If no current subscription, it’s 2:1.
If currently subscribed to ultimate, it’s worse:
1 month = 15 days
3 months = 38 days
6 months = 60 days
12 months = 114 days
24 months = 152 days
