BYO alcohol? I have never heard of that on an aircraft before!

    • Their religion prohibits them from consuming or serving alcohol. But if customers bring their own, they allow it.

  • How much alcohol can you bring?

    • Checked baggage allowance is 20kg.

      • Not carry on luggage?

        • Oops my bad! Looks like you can BYO some duty-free alcohol in reasonable quantities

          https://www.flyroyalbrunei.com/australia/en/information/cabi…

          • @foxes28: No mention of alcohol in that reference. Regardless, it would be considered rude and disrespectful to be drinking next to a Muslim…

            • @freeb1e4me: Eh? Isn't it rude and disrespectful to force your religious beliefs and consequences onto others?
Naturally I wouldn't force them to imbibe, nor to share my delicious pork pie or BLT sandwich.
It's a plane, not a place of worship.

You are not forced but it will be a plane with many Muslims on board. Enjoy your drink

Waiting patiently for Brisbane to Osaka deals for around mid November.

    • Im waiting for direct Japan flights for around this price end of Feb-March 26. 32h for Sydney to Tokyo, compared to $250 extra for direct flights with ANA, yeah no thanks

Not direct (quick change at Hong Kong), we went with Cathay .. Brisbane to Osaka (Kix) for about $800 end of Feb this year. Just decided to go a few weeks before travel, looked up flights and that’s what popped up. Jetstar was $1500 with no checkin luggage.

Great time of year, nice and cold, a little snow, and bars and restaurants warm inside.

Wanting November and December so it’ll be Autumn for something a bit different, otherwise we will go February again.

  • Byo alcohol? Is that wine only like Aussie restaurants or full bogan like Bali Jetstar flights?

  • This airline is amazing if anyone is wondering. And this price return to Hong Kong is also amazing! Too bad there aren't any dates for next year.
